Walking along the hallways of Casper High, Danny, his friends and sisters kept snickering at the radical change in Dan's behavior.

Meanwhile Dan was telling her all about the school and its students.

"Mr. Lancer is our vice-principal and the English teacher for all years and levels. He teaches well but he is boring... as hell. The funny thing about him is that he doesn't swear. Instead he shouts book titles. The most used last year were 'To kill a Mockingbird' and 'Moby Dick'."

Sophie giggled, covering her mouth with a hand.

"Wait, I never got your age, Mr. Fenton." She said, grinning cheekily.

"Please, call me Dan. And I'm 17, about to be 18 in a few months. Precisely in ten. And you?"

"I'm 15, about to be 16 in four months."

"So you're slightly older than Danny, huh? Sweet! Now I have someone to laugh at him with." He fist-pumped the air.

"Hey!" Danny yelled.

"What? It's not my fault you're two years younger than me, shrimp."  Dan said, smirking.

"I'm not a shrimp, monster!" Danny's eyes flashed toxic green, and Dan's were wide and full of hurt.

"Hey hey hey! Boys, stop fighting, please." Sophie put a hand on Dan's chest and one on Danny's shoulder, since she was smaller than the first one, and just a few inches taller than the latter, making them both stop.

Dan's eyes were wide open in slight shock, and Danny had an eyebrow raised at both Sophie and his brother, who had a slight blush creeping onto his usually deathly pale cheeks. Tucker, noticing the blush on Dan's face, started snickering, making Sam notice it as well, then Jazz, and finally Dani. Sam and Jazz started whispering and snickering between them, and Dani started giggling louder and louder, until she was rolling on the floor clutching her belly in laughter.

Hearing Dani's loud laugh seemed to snap Dan out of the trance he appeared to be in, and he glared at everyone except Sophie.

Danny noticed that his brother's glare avoided the new girl, and faked a gasp.

"Dan, why do you glare at us when the cause of the laughter was Sophie and you? You know, you hurt our feelings, brother." Danny faked offence.

"Ha, ha. Very funny, shrimp." Dan narrowed his eyes at his brother.

"Hey! I told you to stop fighting!" Sophie snapped, and her blue eyes glowed for a second.

"Umm... Sophie?" Tucker approached her cautiously.

"Yes?" Sophie turned to face him and smiled sweetly.

"You might want to remove your hand from Danny's shoulders... Sam's getting a tad bit jealous over there." He whispered, nodding slightly towards the goth girl, who was glaring slightly at her hand.

"Oh, okay" Sophie whispered back, removing both hands.

"Well, shouldn't you get to class?" Sophie said loudly this time, looking at Dani, Jazz, Danny, Sam, and Tucker.

"Well, yes, but don't you have our same schedule?" Danny asks.

"Umm... Well... I don't know your classes, so..." Sophie looked down sheepishly.

"Well, me, Sam and Danny have Math right now." Tucker said, showing his schedule on his trusted PDA.

"And I have English with Mr. Lancer!" Dani chirped.

"I have Philosophy right now; How about you, Dan?" Jazz smiled.

"I have Science first period." Dan drawled emotionlessly.
