Chapter 10. Walker's goons and... ghost horses?

As Sophie guided everyone out of Walker's jail, two Elder Ghosts were watching the story unfold.

"Should we help them or will she do it?" Nocturne turned to face his colleague.

"I think we should wait and see." Clockwork turned into his elder form.

MEANWHILE WITH CASPER HIGH

"So... How exactly are we supposed to get off this island?" Mikey asked, looking off the ledge of the island and off into the seemingly infinite green swirls.

"I know someone who might help us." Sophie said, then drew in a large breath and put two fingers near her lips and let out a shrill and very loud whistle, making everyone wince and close their ears.

Suddenly, a neigh of a horse rang out from above them. As Sophie looked up, her face split in a wide smile.

"Nightmare! Come 'ere girl!" She called the horse over, but the horse just snorted and shook its head.

"Dan, can you bring me up to the island where Nightmare is?" Sophie turned to the taller teen, who just nodded and transformed back into his ghost form.

Wrapping an arm around her waist and making her cheeks dust a light pink, he flew over to the ghost horse and put Sophie near Nightmare.

"Oh! She's got a carriage strapped to her!" Sophie giggled.

"Smart girl!" She patted the horse's fire mane.

"Guys! Get everyone up here, there's so much space in the carriage!" She called over to Team Phantom.

Slowly, all Casper High crew was lifted to the other island and everyone clambered inside the carriage except for Sophie and Dan.

"Sophie. Thank you for saving us, twice." Maddie smiled at the girl, although confused at the girl's behavior.

"No problem. I like helping people." Sophie sent her a closed-eyed smile.

While the two were talking, Dan sat down at the front of the carriage.

Sophie noticed the movement and sent him a half-smile half-smirk, making him look away.

"I'll ride on Nightmare's back. 'S that alright with everyone?" She asked, her eyes skimming over the crowd.

She got sounds of agreement from the majority of the crowd, so she put one hand on Nightmare's neck, and the other one on her back, jumping on the horse's back.

Gently, she kicked the horse's sides, making her turn and gallop into the green swirls towards the Fright Knight's castle.
