"Now to train."

While Sophie was running, jumping and flying through the obstacle course, Nocturne entered his castle and called for his long-timed colleague, the Time Master.

"Greetings, Nocturne."

"Good evening, Clockwork. One of your apprentices-" Nocturne started, but the Time Master interrupted him.

"I know. Have you been informed about the trip?"

"Yes, I have."

"Have you-"

"Yes, Nocturne. I was asked to by the Observants."

"And?"

"You know it. They will defeat them."

"I know, but what about my goddaughter and the ghost you freed months ago?" Here Clockwork's face twisted in a wide, knowing grin.

"Oh that... not to worry, it's going to happen very, very soon."

"Very well then. Farewell, Time Master."

"Farewell, Nocturne."

As soon as the last syllable was spoken, Sophie teleported into the room.

"Done with all the obstacles. I beat my previous record, by the way."

"Really? How long did it take you this time?"

"10' 34"" Sophie proudly announced.

"Fantastic! I assume you have already trained with the dummy as well, yes?"

"Yes, I did. I even modified some of the kids' dreams!" Sophie grinned.

Nocturne opened his mouth to ask more, but Sophie shook her head with a smile.

"You know that I can't hurt people that haven't done me wrong..." She said softly.

"Yes, but it's all for training, Sophie."

"I know, but it's stronger than me."

"Alright then. You should go home now, you have a week of school ahead of you."

"Bye~" Teleporting back to her room, she transformed back into her human attire.

Changing into her pajamas and brushing her teeth, Sophie pulled back the blue duvet and laid in the bed.

A few seconds later, Vlad knocked on the door.

Waving her hand lazily, Sophie opened the door. There, in the doorway, stood her father in his night robes, holding a lavender bag.

"I forgot to give you this a couple weeks ago, but it's the thought that counts, doesn't it?" He grinned sheepishly.

"Yeah. Come in dad, it's not like you aren't allowed in here." Sophie giggled.

"You seem much calmer than a few hours ago. Has he helped you?"

"Yep! Now gimme that bag! Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme! I'm curious!" Sophie made a childish face and made grabby hands like a little girl, making her father chuckle.

"Alright, alright! Here you go... hope you like it." As Vlad stepped into the room, he felt his daughter's aura grow serene and handed his daughter the bag.

Sticking her hand inside the bag, she took out a medium sized teddy bear.

It was golden brown in color, with whiskey eyes and an aquamarine-teal bow on his neck.

Squealing, Sophie hugged the teddy bear tightly, then lunged to hug her father.

"I love it, dad!" She kept thanking him, jumping around the room.

"Now you won't ask me to stay with you until you fall asleep." Vlad chuckled, making his daughter blush and hide her face behind the big bear.

"I don't do that since I was ten!" She retaliated.

That shut them both up.

The silence that formed was becoming uncomfortable, but Sophie broke it quickly, turning around.

"Goodnight, dad." She walked to the bed and laid down, turning away from him.

"Sweetheart-" he started, but Sophie interrupted him.

"Goodnight, father." Sophie's voice was cold, distant.

Sighing, Vlad exited the room and entered his.

Meanwhile, Sophie took her time with putting her glasses back on and studying the teddy bear.

"These ember eyes... that splash of teal.... It strangely reminds me of... that Fenton guy...? Could it be that I...? No way in hell! I just met the guy, I can't like him!" When the train of thoughts ended harshly, Sophie's caramel eyes were wide and her mouth gaping. Shaking her head to clear the thoughts, she took off her glasses again and closed her eyes, Morpheus claiming her consciousness.
