Chapter Four :: Expectthe unexpected

I wanted to say Yes, but that would be a lie.
I've already got no choice since Marcus had already dragged me in the middle. I just hoped that he's good at this.
Then he left me standing alone.
"Marcus," I hissed. "Where the hell are you going?"
He held up a finger and smiled sheepishly. After a moment he yanked a guy by his ear and stood him in front of me. Some people started snickering and I did too. It was the guy who bumped into me earlier.
I smirked, "The little puppy failed to escape?"
He glared at me, and I just raised my eyebrows. Two can play at this game.
"My little Sugar-kitten, you know each other?" Marcus furrowed his brows.
"No!" we both said at the same time.
Marcus giggled, "Andrea, darling, this is my younger brother Nathan. Nathan, Andrea Linhart."
If I chose to have an attitude, I will certainly have it.
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes. "Why'd you even dragged me here?"
"Because Nathan's partner, accidentally," he looked pointedly at his brother. "spilled wine on her dress."
"I already told you that I didn't liked her," he said bitterly. "at all."
"Who said that you're supposed to like her?" Marcus argued, touching a hand on his forehead. "Baby-pudding, its just a dance, for fucksake."
After a moment a violin started playing somewhere. "That's our cue, my little Sugar cookies." Marcus says. "Nathan, if you screw this up, I swear." Marcus looked warningly at Nathan.
He turned to walk to his partner, and I called after him. "I don't know how to dance!" Nathan snorted, and I shot him a glare.
Hell, I didn't even know the steps!
"Nathan can," Marcus said, backing away. "Don't worry, Cookie crumble, you'll do great!" he gave me a thumbs up and a cheeky smile.
I turned to Nathan and scowled, "What're you looking at?"
"I just realized something," he said, suddenly in thought. "Aah, you're the girl who spilled juice on her dress a couple years back." he smirked.
My cheeks flamed to the point that it reached my head like burning charcoal. He leaned in dangerously close that I can smell his expensive cologne.
"Just so you know, I was the one who spiked the punch bowl," he whispered right before my ear and it took all of my willpower to not break his straight nose right now.
But I'm not gonna let this jerk-face get to me.
Instead, I leaned into him too, my mouth on his left ear. "Just so you know, I didn't really care, I already got over it by now," which was a complete and utter lie.
He stood up straight again, "Lets just see about that," the corners of his mouth tugged up into a mocking smirk and he offered his arm for me.
I faked enthusiasm and pretended to loop my arm at his but stopped at the last second.
"Suit yourself," he pushed his way through the people and stood at the middle of the ballroom hall. People were already gathering around, mostly teenagers, soon to be business tycoons and heirs.
