Nathan Montgomery to your right>>
Chapter Five
●●●
That night after the party I never saw Nathan again.
I had found my dad waiting for me at the hotel lobby. His hair was dripping with red paint and his suit was covered in green paint. "You look ridiculous," was my greeting to him.
"You're one to talk," he snorted. His eyes trailed down to my paint-covered dress. "Its like we're reliving something that has happened three years ago," He laughed and I smacked his arm playfully. "I mean, look at you. Covered in red, head to toe? That's just the best thing ever. Too bad Travis isn't here to see this."
"I gotta say Nathan's prank was the best one I've ever witnessed yet,"
"So, your all buddy buddy with him now, huh," he says. "I saw you dancing with him earlier. I didn't know you're a participant,"
"I'm not. Marcus just yanked me over and made me dance," even though I have two left feet.
We walked a couple of feet to the door that will lead us to the garden near the parking lot. Most of the people were already gone, some seriously looked pissed, and most of them really looked like they've had fun. Like me and my dad.
I retrieved my iPhone from my purse and opened the camera. Luckily, some paint on my hands has finally dried off, so that I can easily hold my phone.
"Hey, dad lets take a pic and show it to Trav,"
I held it in front and we made funny faces that made us even more ridiculous than we already are. My dad takes out his own iPhone and we take more pics.
A souvenir, he says. A rad and ridiculous one at that, I say.

That night we went home to my dad's house and I decided to stay there until I left on the morning on Sunday.
On Saturday morning, we both had planned the day to ourselves since its my last day in L.A. and all. We decided to spend it together, play FIFA and watch action films, but he says that something has came up and off he goes to one of his new projects in Sta. Monica. He'd promise to buy me new wheels for my motorbike as soon as he visits me in N.Y. not that I really need it or anything.
I sighed and plopped down on my bed.
My phone rang and I reached for it. A picture of me and Patrick flashed on the screen. I ignored his call and decided to delete all the pictures of him on my phone and instagram. He's been texting and calling nonstop and I just couldn't care less. He already made his choice, so the slut it is.
I decided to sleep through the day. It was just 8am, I've woken up at seven too excited to spend the day with my dad but then he leaves me hanging alone. I always hated mornings. And I don't have anything else to do other than listen to music and crave for pizza.
I texted Travis, asking him how the date went and told him that the party last night was a blast. Amanda texted not long after and then I was texting two of my other bestfriends until I fall asleep.

My phone buzzed on my face.
It was distracting, really. Who puts their phone in their face and falls asleep, anyway? Oh, wait. I saw Travis did that once, and he fell off his bed when someone called. Of course, I was that someone.
I was about to press ignore thinking it was Patrick but it was an unknown number.
Then the doorbell from the gate of the house dings, I can hear it from the hallway just outside my room.
