Chapter 18

I struggled to open my eyes from the light peering in from the bus window. Moaning, I snuggled closer into my pillow. The night’s events began to replay in my mind as I suddenly shot up looking around.

“Shit!” I cried as I hit my head on the bunk above me. How did I get into my bunk? I remember falling asleep on the couch last night while I had my head against Luke’s chest…Luke. I jumped out of bed and climbed down the small step ladder before rushing out into the front area of the bus. Cara was resting her head on Michael’s shoulder as he drank the coffee in front of him, Ashton sat across from them on his phone whilst Luke sat at the other booth, his back facing me. None of them had noticed me enter but as I began to walk down the few steps, their heads shot up.

“Morning.” Mikey muttered, sleep evident in his voice.

“Didn’t get much sleep Mikey?” I asked sweetly, sending him a twisted smile as I eyed the hickey on his neck.

“I would say the same to you Charlie.” He replied without missing a beat. I looked at him confusedly as Cara laughed silently. I blushed lightly but when I went to open my mouth, Ashton jumped up from his seat and stormed away, slamming the tour buses door behind him. I watched as Luke looked up and his eyes met mine as he smiled slightly.

“I’ll go talk to him.” Mikey said, beginning to stand up.

“No I will.” Luke butted in, already on his feet walking out the door. I watched as a panicked look crossed Michael’s face.

“What?” I asked him confused. I know there’s tension between the boys and I’m I know they were the reason both of them were covered in cuts and bruises but it wasn’t anything more serious than boys being boys was it?

“Nothing.” Mikey muttered taking another sip of his coffee. “I’m just gonna go check on them…” As he stood up, he sighed, putting his cup in the sink before walking out the door.

“Should I be worried?” I asked as I took the seat opposite Cara.

“I honestly don’t know.”

LUKE’S POV

“Ashton!” I shouted as I ran to catch up to him. The muscles in his back tensed as he recognized my voice. He turned around just as I reach him and took a step towards me.

“What do you want?” He spat in my face.

“Get over it.” I replied harshly.

“What did you just say?” He huffed, matching my angry tone.

“I said get over it. Get over her. I won. It’s over.” I replied smugly.

“See that’s where you’re wrong Luke. The bet was to see who she would fall in love with first. Just because she chose you this time doesn’t mean anything.” I took a step closer to him, now merely inches from his face.

“And what are you gonna do about it?” I muttered harshly.

“You just wait and see. It’s not over.” He huffed, turning on his heel and walking away. I stood their staring after him as my mind went into shutdown. What’s he going to do?

CALUM’S POV

I scrolled through the endless messages on my phone from the boys wondering where I was. Looks like I’ll have to thank Cara and Charlie for telling them where I was. *Note the sarcasm* I sighed, putting my phone down and taking a spoonful of my cereal. Abbie was still asleep and I was planning on leaving her like that until just before I have to go to the interview at 10. It was just after 9am now so I had just under an hour. My phone began to buzz in my pocket. I picked up and read the caller I.D.
