CHAPTER 3
"This one?" Miranda asks holding up a picture of a dark haired boy with a faint smile.
"Calum Hood, bassist." I respond not missing a single beat as I hop down the stairs in my all black converse. We would have taken the elevator but apparently since 5 Seconds of Summer are staying in this particular hotel, too many fan girls kept visiting every single floor to try and find them. For a sky rise with over 30 floors, it was obviously going to take a long time. I swear we had already waited almost 20 minutes for the elevator before we decided on the stairs. It didn't exactly help though that I was on the top floor, which consisted of six royal suites including two that belonged to 5 Seconds of Summer.
"Correct! Okay next one?" she replies pulling out another picture of one of the boys. It was easier this time.
"Michael Clifford, guitarist and looks like he has fairy floss for hair."
"True, but don't tell him that. The other boys will probably take you seriously and try to eat him" Miranda shoots me a wink as she laughs.
"Okay moving along.." I chuckled. These boys must be a handful. Miranda holds up the next picture. The band member had slightly curly hair and a sweet grin, with heart-warming eyes.
"Ashton Irwin, drummer." I reply with a smile. Just from looking at his picture he seemed so sweet and considerate.
"Good. Last one now.." As Miranda pulls out the last picture I couldn't help but feel my cheeks shade slightly crimson and feel as though my whole body had lifted.
"Luke Hemmings, lead singer, guitarist and sex god." I say, looking at Miranda with a straight face. She looks at the picture then back at me.
"Your right. He's got a nice body. I wouldn't mind seeing what's under that shirt."
I burst into laughter as we reached the final set of stairs. Miranda wasn't old but she wasn't my age either. For a 28 year old though she never failed to surprise me with the words that came out of her mouth.
When we reached the lobby, I noticed security guards were placed at the front doors attempting to keep about 50 rowdy girls outside. At the sight of me, they began to scream and wave excitedly.
"Why are they screaming for me?" I laugh as Miranda walks in front of me.
"Well you are the lucky girl who gets to style for 5 seconds of summer." She says with another wink. "I'm fairly certain all of those girls would kill to be in your shoes right now. Except you know what they would try to be doing instead of styling."
I look down at my black converse and smiled to myself. I don't think they'd want to particularly be in these shoes, but I understand what Miranda meant. If 5 Seconds of Summer jumped off a cliff, their fans would follow. If they ended up in jail, about 90% of their fans would end up being juvenile delinquents just to share a cell with them. They were hard-core and perverted. Something I had learnt after taking a look at certain trends on Twitter. To the person who created #ohyeah5sos. I love you.
As we walked through the lobby and passed the doors, the girls went wild.
I smiled sweetly at them and waved as Miranda motioned for me to pick up the pace. We followed the hallway positioned to the left of the hotel as the screams began to disappear.
"The boys are currently doing an interview for The Bump Show so we'll wait for them to finish before we introduce you to them," I nodded as we continued to walk.
"Wait! You haven't told me what kind of band they are?" I replied. "What kind of music do they play?" I wasn't prepared to walk in there and be expected to style these boys if I didn't know what kind of band they are. Every band has a different style that resembles their music. I couldn't be of much assistance if I weren't aware of their genre.
"Oh. Well they're mixed between punk rock and pop." Miranda responds. I began to think to myself. Punk rock mixed with pop. I could already imagine some ways to style these boys. Ripped jeans, band t-shirts, tank tops, leather jackets. Sounds like the kind of style I'm into. I peered down at my ripped light denim shorts with the pockets hanging out and my white tee with leather sleeves. This should be a piece of cake.
"We're here!" Miranda cries and opens the door quietly. She pokes her head in, noticing the interview has finished, grabs my arms and pulls me through the door. As I straighten myself out and stand up properly, I noticed the band was in a world of their own. Video Games. Miranda and I share a look and roll our eyes. Boys with be boys.
"Boys!" Miranda calls. They don't respond. Only continue to pound their controllers as though their lives depended on it. I'm guessing in their eyes, it did. "BOYS!" Still no reply. I walk over to where the boys are seated on a plush red lounge suite and tap one of them on the shoulder. I'm fairly certain it was Calum. Still no reply. I look around the room and notice a PowerPoint with a black cord. My eyes followed it as it wound into the TV. I walk up to it and pull the cord out. Complaints erupted from the boys mouths.
"What happened?!" Michael screamed.
"Mate I was so about to kick your arse!" Calum laughed.
"In your dreams!" Ashton shouted pointing at the pair.
"Who's responsible for this?" Luke cried as he turned around and came face to face with myself and Miranda.
"Lovely of you to join us boys." Miranda replies laughing. "You can get back to your game soon. I just wanted to introduce you to your new stylist Charlotte..." I coughed "Oops sorry Charlie."
The boys turned to look at me still with the black cord situated in my hand. I smile and wave timidly.
"IT WAS YOU!" cried Michael as he pointed at me. I began to laugh.
"Don't you know it's rude to play video games in front of a girl," I reply as I plug the cord back in. The game resumes. "You should at least ask me to join," I took the controller out of Michael's hand and continued on their game.
"You lot are going to get along perfectly." Miranda mutters as she leaves the room. I can tell from the corner of my eye the boys are all staring at me. I pause the game and face them.
"I'm Ashton." The one on my left replies as he gets up to wrap his arms around me. I give him a shocked look. "Sorry I'm a hugger." He replied sheepishly.
"It's OK Ashton. I'm Charlie."
"Nice to meet you Charlie." He replies with a smile.
"Well I'm Michael." The one I stole the controller from pipes up.
"Won't be hard to miss you Michael." I say with a wink. He laughs and points to his hair.
"It's a nice colour don't you think." It's his turn to wink and my turn to laugh.
"Whatever floats your boat?"
"So I'm Calum." The one with dark hair replies. I smile at him and look towards the last member. The blonde haired boy was looking intently towards me with his legs perched on top of Calum's lap. I felt my cheeks grow hot as he continued to stare. A cough sounded next me before as both Luke and I snapped out of a trance.
"So you're the famous Charlie we've heard so much about."
