Peridot had to go on a mission with Amethyst, she couldn't take malachite with her so Steven would babysit till she got back. Of course she anxious at first but Steven reassured Peridot and told her he could handle Malachite.
Malachite's Pov:
I don't like this Stev-in very much. mommy says I am good hands, but I don't agree. At least this Stev-in is...warm..smells good... maybe I'll sleep...he'll be a tasty snack later...

Steven greeted Connie and told her all the things that happened recently, He showed her the gemling who was trying to sleep, they both carefully began petting the gemling

Malachite's Pov:
I looked up and notice Stev-in and another being next to him, "Stop this!" I said but to them it ony came out as a mewl which made them make the most strangest sound "Aw". Clods....

Connie and Steven went outside and played in the sand for a while and put malachite on a beach towel kept a close eye on the gemling but malachite didn't do much but sleep and try to eat the towel..

Peridot later returned looking rather upset. When she saw Malachite her expression changed, no had really noticed except amethyst. In fact when they were on the mission Peridot's mood seemed to change after she had came back from collecting one of the corrupted gems. Amethyst decided she would talk to Peridot later.

Peridot's P.O.V:
Amethyst I and decided it be best if we went difference ways, she might not be the brightest gem but she has her moments. While I was searching for one of the corrupted gems I saw someone I didn't expect to see., it was Lapis
