When You Find Me

Frisk's POV:
"Mmm!" I say, savoring my recent favorite- Mom's Butterscotch-Cinnamon pie. "Y'know, I need to bake one of these with you someday, Mom."

"That is a great idea, Frisk. If you want, we can start now. Baking another pie would make everyone happy," says Mom.

"Sorry, I can't do it now. I had some plans for today. I wanted to check out Mt. Ebott." I wonder what Mom will consider about this.

"Oh, that is a wonderful idea! Great bonding time with everyone!" Ever since we arrived at the surface, Mom had been obsessed with everyone "bonding". Me, on the other hand? Not so much.

"Um, yeah... lots of bonding!" I try to say it with as much enthusiasm as Mom likes to say it, but unfortunately I'm not very good at it.

"I have to clean up the house for the visitors, but Sans and Papyrus can drive you. You'll have to walk to their house, though."

"Sure!" I say, and bound out the door.

Monsters have been on the surface for 6 months, and miraculously, we were able to buy two houses. Me, Toriel, Alphys, and Undyne, live in one house, while Sans, Papyrus, and Asgore live in the other. Mettaton, on the other hand, has his own wonderful home that he bought himself. We would have been homeless if it weren't for Frank.

In the Underground, people used GOLD as currency. Of course, people here use the American dollar. Frank is a doctor studying monster kind. He seemed very interested in studying monsters. That includes our currency. He exchanged all our GOLD, and gave us tons of moola (money) in return. The only person who kept their GOLD was Papyrus, saying that it "MIGHT COME IN HANDY ONE DAY."

I rush towards Pap and Sans' (and Asgore's I guess) house. Sans is always near the door doing whatnot so he opens the door. "Hey kiddo," he says. "What can I do for you?"

I hear shuffling from the second floor. It's probably just Papyrus. Answering Sans' question, I say simply,
"Mom wants you and Pap to drive me to Mt. Ebott."

"Oh..." he says, blushing. He always blushes when I'm around. "Welp. Papyrus should be around any minute."  Usually when he says this, it's Papyrus' cue to come down. But today, nothing happens.

I hear someone coming down the stairs. "That's him," Sans says, reading my mind. But to our dismay, Asgore comes downstairs.

"Oh, howdy," he says. Seeing the look on our faces, he says, "What? Did I... say something wrong?"

"N-no, Asgore. We're looking for Papurus," I say.

"... why didn't I check on him sooner..." Sans murmurs.

"Oh. I think I saw him in the yard," Asgore says, gesturing behind him.

"Hey, thanks man. I was getting a little worried..."

"SO, FRISK, WHY ARE YOU GOING
TO MT. EBOTT?" Papyrus asks as we drive towards the ancient mountain.

"Oh, I... just wanted to see how things are going down there... Gerson stayed Underground, you know?" I don't actually know where Gerson is, but I haven't seen him ever since we left the Underground, that's for sure.

"GERSON? ISN'T HE THAT SHOPKEEPER AROUND WATERFALL?"

"Yeah..." I say.
