Frisk's POV:
"Let's see... what first?" I say."Here, I have an idea," Sans says. "Why don't me and Frisk somehow, somehow, try to explain everything. And, uh, all you guys... (Y/N) maybe can show the city, I mean-"
"Good idea, Sans! The city's changed quite a bit, do you agree?" (Y/N) says.
"Oh, yeah," Noah says, staring at the skyline. "I mean, is it just me, or did those buildings get really tall?"
Evylin stifles a laugh. "Those are skyscrapers, silly."
"Anyway, back to the subject," Sans says. "You guys okay on your own, because... um... you kiddos are under 13."
"Well, technically, I lived a lot longer, including the years I was a fl-"
"That's not the point. W-why don't we just get started?" Sans says, cutting Asriel off.
"Um, okay," Asriel replies.
"Wait!" (Y/N) says. "If you want Toriel to believe you guys, you better take a picture or video of Asriel, Chara, and the 6 humans."
"That's... not a bad idea," I say. I sling my backpack in front of me, unzip it, and pull out my phone. As I glance up, Chara gives me a look, like she's seen it before.
"Could... could I see your phone for a sec?" Chara asks me. I wonder why.
"I... guess..." I hand my phone to Chara. Why would Chara want to see my phone? It's just the one I got from Mom.
That's it.
I don't think Toriel would have a spare cell phone lying around. It must've been Chara's- or Asriel's- at some point. But I'm not giving my phone to just anyone, am I?
"Eh, here you go Frisk. The one I had was practically ancient. This one, it looks completely different. It has... what's this? Texting? What's that?" Chara squints at the screen. "What are these? Different groups? One says Sans... what happens if I click-"
"I think that's enough," I say. I grab the phone from Chara, leaving her empty-handed. No way am I letting her see my messages from Sans. But then again, I'm glad Alphys updated my cell phone, because if not, Chara probably would recognize it.
"So... about the picture?" Chara asks. Asriel nods at me, implying the same thing.
"Oh yeah. I almost forgot," I say. I click the picture icon on my phone, and snap a picture of the two smiling. "And... you guys." I say, turning to the 6 humans. I guess I'll just take them as a group. I click the button, and the picture of all the humans are saved.
"Goody!" Chara says. "Now... I guess we can get going..." (Y/N) nods in response.
"Just in case, call me," I say to (Y/N). "Or text."
"Whatever that is..." I hear Chara murmur.
"Um, bye I guess," says Asriel.
"Bye," I say to Asriel, (Y/N), and the 6 humans.
As I watch them leave, I see that (Y/N) is still looking up at the mountain, a yearning look on her face. It seems as if she doesn't want to leave. At least just not yet.
Honest to goodness, I'm ready for this adventure to be over. I just want to sit around, bake pies with Mom, hangout with Sans and Papyrus, and be... normal. At least as normal as I could get.
"So, Frisk, why don't we take a shortcut?" Sans asks as soon as we are out of earshot.
"Um, yeah."
