Chapter 39~ Carried on Legacies

It was time for me to pay this little empire a visit. I just wanted to put them in check real quick for talking shit about my death. Angelica told me Izzy been running things along with the help Kayla. I been really impress with Kayla lately. She helped a lot with my whole escape situation and been helping around the empire. 

Quan called everybody that works for us to a warehouse we use to store our supply's. Izzy drove Tre and I there since we haven't made it to Tres place to get a vehicle. He pulled in to the warehouse and I got out the car eager to see these workers. Tre got out and wrapped his arm around me as we made our way upstairs where everyone was at. I heard lots of talking but as soon as I took my last step upstairs all talking stopped. Everybody looked at Tre then me with wide eyes. I took of my glasses and smiled. 

"Guess who's back?" I said to everyone. 

Everyone was silent for awhile before some people began clapping. 

"Okay first thank you I deserve those claps. Second I don't know why ya'll clapping like ya'll wasn't just talking shit." i said. 

The claps stopped and some people began looking down. 

"Yeah I know. Ya'll wanna talk shit great everyone does I don't really care. I really don't even mind that ya'll were talking shit about me. Its the fact that ya'll were doubting my ability  to succeed and by the looks of me alive ya'll were wrong, so thank you for letting me prove you guys wrong. From my team I shouldn't even have that. Really guys ya'll gonna doubt me?" I said sounding her hurt. 

"Never that." I heard Kayla say.

I smiled at her. 

"That's why Kayla over hear will be in charge." 

Kayla eyes widened and I heard murmurs and people turned there head to talk. 

"Ah shut the fuck up." I said silencing them.  Ya'll got a problem with Kayla being in charge then bounce. She will be respected, and don't think I wont come back. Because at the end of the day Tre and I still run this empire so don't get stupid. We clear?" I ask. 

Everyone nodded understanding. Tre and I had this conversation before and we agreed to let Kayla be in charge. We would still be in charge of the overall empire but Kayla is who they will see day to day. 

"Great ya'll can leave now." I said. 

Everyone began to make there way out of the warehouse and Kayla walked up to Tre and I.

"Seriously?" She asked surprised. 

"You earned it." Tre said nodding. 

She smiled widely. 

"Wow well thank you! I just wanted you to acknowledge my potential. I didn't expect to be in charge." She said.

"I been seen your potential. I just never showed it because I didn't want you slacking, but you the best street worker in this block probably ever and with your skills you can make them do the same." Tre said. 

She smiled then hugged me then Tre. 

"I don't play with trust so don't break it." I told her. 

She nodded. 

"I understand and I gotch you." She said extending out her hand to dap me up. 

"Take care of my baby." I said referring to the empire. 

She nodded and walked out the warehouse. I watch as she left and continued to stand there. Tre came up beside me. 

"I feel like I just lost a child." I said.
