Mario Kart

*ding*

I open my eyes and try to figure out what woke me up. I see my phone on my nightstand is glowing so I reach over and pick it up. I look to see what the notification was for and of course was my mom. I quietly laugh to myself.

*Text Message*
M: hi sweetie how's LA
K: it's good mom
M: are you going to visit after tour
K: yeah
M: good well I love and miss you
K: love you to mom

I was scrolling through Instagram when I heard loud noises from downstairs. Which wasn't unusual considering I live in a house with Logan. I get out of bed and go over to my dresser. I pick out a pair of black spanks and a oversized maverick sweatshirt that went down to my knees. I also put my hair in a messy bun and head downstairs. As I'm walking down the stairs I hear the wdw boys.

Shit I look terrible right now. Maybe I can sneak back upstairs and look presentable.

Z: "hey Kit" I hear zach say. Well can't do that now. I walk into the room they were all in.

K: "hey boys" I say. They all replied hey back. I walk into kitchen to grab breakfast. I walk back and fourth between the fridge and pantry for a few minutes before I decide on a container of pineapple. I grab a fork out of the drawer and join the boys back in the lounge. I continued eating until they all decide to make fun of me.

C: "is that all your eating"
K: "yeah why"
Ja: "no wonder you're so skinny"
K: "oh shush both of you" we all laughed and went back to playing their video game. Pretty soon Daniel came bounding over and asked me for a piece of fruit. I stabbed a piece with my fork and hold the handle out for him to grab. He moves his head around so he can grab the fruit with his mouth and takes it off the fork. I sigh.

K: "or you could just do that" we both laugh at his dumbness. I put my food away in the fridge and walked back into the other room.

D: "hey Kit wanna play Mario Kart with me"
K: "what kind of question is that... duh"
D: "wanna make things interesting and bet"
K: "how much"
D: "50 bucks"
K: "you're on" and we shake hands
L: "that was a big mistake"
D: "why"
L: "dude she's a beast at this game" Daniel looks over at me and I flip my hair.
K: "it's true" I go over to the chairs that Logan has set up in this room to play video games. As Daniel puts the disc into the wii.   We get onto the game and go to pick our characters. We immediately both go to Yoshi.

K: "this is going to be a problem"
D: "yep 100%"
K: "well one of us has to choose"
D: "not me"
K: "not me" I look at him like he's crazy. We bicker back and fourth for a few minutes before zach stops us.

Z: "oh my god it's just a character someone just choose a different one" he says shaking his head. I look at Daniel so he will get the message to switch. He rolls his eyes at me.

D: "fine ill switch"
K: "good" I say he picks boo and we decided to do the races with the crown.
The first game started and he was in first for barley a lap before I pass him and end up winning. I look over smile at him and look back as we start the second race. I won the next two races easily, already winning the money.

D: "whoever wins the last race gets the money" Daniel proposed
K: "your just saying that because you've lost 3 times but ok it's rainbow road... that's my favorite" we both sit up in our seats as the timer counted down. We kept going back in fourth in first for two laps. But on the third I saw my chance and took it. Daniel was driving right on the edge and I knew if I timed it perfectly I could hit him off... but if I didn't I would fall. The risk was worth it. I zoomed over to his side trying to not fall off and banged right into his car and knocking him off as I kept driving almost at the finish line.

D: "are you freaking kidding me right now"
L: "nice one Kit" I look behind me and all the boys are watching our every move. I drove a little further and crossed the finish line in first. I jump up and down over and over again. A few moments later Daniel finished in 8th. He groaned but reached into his back pocket to grab his wallet. He handed me a 50.

L: "I told you not to do it Kit tell him"
K: "I was a nerd when I was younger and loved this game. My tiny town in Ohio had a video game competition, my mom entered me and I played Mario kart. I beat everyone so bad in the 11-12 division they moved me up to the senior division and I beat all of them" I say sort of proud
D: "wow you were a nerd" we all laugh.

After that things calmed down and we just sat around for a while. Jonah and I were trying to create a handshake but he just couldn't get it.

K: "no it's clap hit clap not clap clap hit"
J: "this is so hard" he wined
K: "no it's not you just have no hand eye coordination"
J: "that is true" we laugh and keep trying. After many failed attempts I check the time and it was 11:30. Shoot I had to leave in an hour. I got up and started to head upstairs. I sat down at my vanity and pulled my hair out of the bun and tried to brush it out, I straightened my hair and put on makeup I tried to keep it pretty simple today. I changed into cute clothes and headed downstairs. I look at my phone and it was already 1:15.

K: "bye boys I'm meeting Alissa and I'm already late" I say rushing out the door. I hear them all yell bye behind me as I open the door to my car. I put the keys in the ignition but it wouldn't start. Of course why would anything go my way. I pulled they keys out and try one more time and it turned on. Thank god. I pull out of the drive way and call Alissa telling her I would be late.

A: hey girl hey
K: hey Alissa
A: what's up
K: just wanted to let you know I'm going to be a little late
A: that's ok see you when you get here
K: ok by Alissa
A: byeee
I hung up and drove to the grove. I got there only ten minutes late. Not bad. I was so excited to see Alissa for the first time in real life. I walk into the grove and immediately see her. She sees me and runs over and we tackle each other in a hug.

A: "it's so good to see you"
K: "you to babe" we hugged for a few more seconds before letting go and we started shopping. We walked around for hours talking and a little shopping but mostly talking. After we had been walking around for a few hours I see a tattoo parlor.

K: "Alissa we should get our ears pierced!"
