Darkness drowns the sun,
But the birds remain still,
They are not singing,
Nor do they hide away,
They are peacefully awaiting day.
Darkness drowns the sun,
As the owls come say hello,
They have not killed their prey,
Nor are they in need to,
They only sing their lullaby.
Darkness drowns the sun,
As the people go to sleep,
But some do not,
For their need to see the stars,
Is much stronger than their need of sleep.
So as darkness drowns the sun,
Species come together,
To say hello,
And to say goodbye.
