Let me tell you a story:
My heart never started broken.
It slowly melted,
Into a heap of heartbreak.
And sat vacant
For months.
The soul of it,
Completely distraught
And confused.
Wondering how
such a wonderful person,
Could love you,
So thoroughly,
And then leave you,
Just as quick.
How in one instant,
They tell you,
"Goodnight, Love"
And the next thing you know,
They tell you,
"Goodbye, Love."
And now,
It is struggling to survive:
My heart,
In this,
Cruel cruel world
We live in.
