Kalee's POV

"I really wanted to ask you somthing for a while now." Zach said to me as I looked at him. I looked at him confusued. 

"Ask away." I replied knowing that whatever I had coming I could take it but at this point I had a feeling that Zach wasn't just going to drop me without a second thought no I really knew who he was now I knew what he was like.

"I don't want to come off as a creep or a-

"Spit it out Dempsey, i'm not going to run away and hide." I said with a grin. Zach chuckled nervously. 

"I was thinking." He said still cutting off as he spoke this really must have been hard for him to get out, I didn't know if I liked that or not. "I was thinking a date a pops." He said my face lit up with joy as well as my heart. "Between- u-us." He clarified I giggled putting my hand on his shoulder. 

"I'd love that, a lot." I replied seeing Zach sigh and relief and then go into pure happiness only lightened my mood more than it already was. I took my hand off of his shoulders looking into his chocolate brown eyes. God I loved them he was so perfect I was dumbfounded he even asked me on this date. He just seemed so perfect, I was at a loss for more words. 

Zach's POV

I looked at Kalee after she'd said yes. I really had never been more happy or I'd never been this happy in a while I didn't know what to do she just looked so perfect just her eyes her hair you name it I loved it. And I honestly really couldn't wait till I got to go on this date with her because I hoped I wasn't moving too fast but I really did want to go somewhere with this girl and this was only the first step. I bit my lip as she smiled I knew that my cheeks were burning red I could feel them. I looked at her again. 

"Question?" I said asking her I didn;t know why suddenly I was feeling so confident. 

"Shoot." Kalee said looking at me dazed I hoped she was feeling the same way that I was in that very moment. 

"About that date." I said grabbing her hand and pulling her up from the bed. "Let's go right now." I said she giggled letting me pull her up I looked at the clock 9:52, good thing this was a 24/7 diner. 

"Alright sounds fun." She said giggling letting me lead her out the door and over to my car. I opened the door for her and let her get into my car. 

I looked over at Kalee as we drove in the darkness it was both a blessing and a curse that she lived so far from the diner. Blessing because I would get to have these rides and curse because I just wanted to start this date already. I loved this and every moment of it and I didn't want to wait any longer. Not another moment. I pulled into the parking lot of pops I parked my car getting out of it and going over to Kalee's door to open it and let her out. Kalee shook her head smiling at me opening it herself before I had the chance. I smiled back.

"Hey, I was trying to be polite you know."

"You're already a gentleman enough for driving me to this lovely occasion and besides, I'm not a princess."

"Look like one." I replied I saw her cheeks heat up a little I loved it she looked adorable. I paced over to the door opening it for her so she wouldn't have the chance to do i herself. I smiled she she went through the door before holding the second one open for me. I groaned she was playing some weird sort of hard to get even though I'd already caught her. 

"It's a tie now." She said grinning. I walked in the door sitting down. Kalee sat across from me in the booth. A waiter came over handing us our menus even though I wasn't hungry maybe just a bit thirsty. 

"what do you want, I'm paying just to let you know." I called so she wouldn't be able to steal the opportunity before me. Kalee rolled her yes she looked so nice when she did it. 

"Well all I want is a milkshake." she said I looked at her. 

"I said don't hold yourself back." I repeated she giggled. 

"I ate before you took me on this date." She said I looked up at the waiter." 

"Just a vanilla milkshake." I said she nodded walking away . Kalee looked at me. 

"You didn't even ask me what kind I wanted." I grinned knowing she liked vanilla. 

"I know you more than you think." I said she laughed. Within seconds the waiter came back with the milkshake. Kalee put a straw in the drink looking up at me with a smile running her fingers through her blonde hair.

"Want a sip?" She asked I shrugged. 

"Why not?" I said she put the shake towards me. Just as I went to lean over and take a sip she yanked it back. "Hey!"

"I guess if you want a sip your going to have to come sit next to me." She teased I laughed I didn't mind, I wanted to be closer to her.  I got up going over to her side and sitting close to her. I took a sip of the milkshake, this time she let me. I looked up at her after smiling. I put my hand on the side of her face. I really did love her. I leaned into her face kissing her. I pulled away hoping that I didn't look too dazed.
