I sighed looking at Zach who was now sitting on my bed directly across from me. The only thing in between our crossed legs being the books that were stacked in a pile. I had a love hate relationship with Bio at this moment. Hate because of the work and love because of the partnership. I knew that if it wasn't for the seating than I would be sitting alone, or be sitting with some other loser who really was interested in doing the work. Even if Zach had said that he was, or hinted that he wanted to do all or ninety percent of the work or all of it, I knew that he really didn't want to. I didn't know whether he was trying to be nice, to impress me or seem like a good student since he was new to the school but whatever he was doing it was working. One hundred percent I was impressed, with him and that's saying something. I was the type to never be impressed.

"I still don't know what we are doing." I announced to the boy across from me, his face snapped up from the open book that was on his lap. I almost regretting calling for his attention he looked so i delved into the bio book.

"I think I'm just going to start by taking some notes and then maybe I'll make a checklist then-

"What do I do?" I asked cutting off Zach. It almost seemed like he wouldn't let me do any work by the way he was piling this all on his own shoulders.

"Sit back and watch sweetie." He said grinning, I wanted to say something that was like my usual self something that was like me. But I shocked I didn't know what to say I just attempted to not let my cheeks burn red. I didn't know whether the asian boy had just flirted with me or if he thought that what he had said was normal. I didn't know any better maybe back in liberty it wasn't weird to call a girl you'd just met sweetie, I thought it was. Not that I was complaining I hoped he would just forget my name all together and start calling me that.

"I could get used to that." I mumbled to myself under my breathy without mean, Zach gave me a funny look.

"Sorry I didn't catch that, what'd you say?" He asked I then realized what I said, my eyes widened.

"Nothing just talking to myself about the project like a crazy person." I replied thinking fast Zach chuckled.

"You can talk about the project to me you know?" He joked. "I'm your partner." He continued.

"I know I know, I just needed reliable information." I teased saying back Zach shook his head putting his head into his hand for a moment as he laughed.

"Thanks for the comedic relief, but i'm the most asian, reliable source in this town now." He said making me laugh loudly I covered my mouth.

"You like asian jokes don't you?" I asked, he nodded. It was silent for a moment except for the occasional chuckled from one of us as we looked at each other. "But seriously what should I do I just don't want to sit around and watch you do all the work by yourself. I would feel horrible, you're over my house I should be the one if anything." I said hoping that Zach would give in and give me a legitimate assignment for this thing. I hoped a small one though deep down, I was only offering to help so I wouldn't come off as rude after all.

"Alright." Zack said putting his hand on his chin.

"You can go stand in facing the wall so you don't have to sit and watch me then." He said smirking as he opened the book again, I sharply sighed just grabbing one of the books that was on the bed so I could start reading to at least be a part of the note making process.
