18. Alcohol

Kevin's P.O.V

"Kevin." She moaned. We were on my bed now. It all happened so fast. I could feel the alcohol thick on my tongue and could smell it in her breath. "Erica" I slurred, kissing her neck. I gulped another shot of vodka and slammed back into her.

All I can remember was earlier that day. Erika Kallen. The most popular girl in school. We had stopped talking and when she showed up at my house I was a little shocked.

*earlier that day*

"Erika?" I blinked. "I miss you." She said seductively, inviting herself inside. There it was- a bottle of vodka in her hands. "I just needed a study buddy." She poured a glass of vodka for her and one for me.

"Listen... I know we had something... But it's in the past." I sighed. "I just wanted to study, baby." She said breathy. She took a drink. She handed me a cup, and opened her backpack. She slammed a book down on the table.

We started "studying." She named different words and their definitions. I really wanted her to leave. "Erica this is pissing me off. Go home."
She giggled and sat down. "Remember on New Years when we watched the stars?" She motioned to the shot of vodka in front of me. I took a swig of vodka. I shouldn't have, but I remembered drinking it and liking it, and in the midst of conversation I started making out with her. We smashed against my bed, groaning and kissing.

Autumn's P.O.V

We talked for about two hours, catching up, answering questions and expressing our emotions and love in the most intellectual ways. I missed Jason, and I didn't want our date to end. But I owed it to Kevin to tell him.

Jason dropped me off at his house. I knocked on the door, but no answer. And then I heard a girl moaning.

Oh hell no.

I opened the door and followed the noise up to... Kevin's room. I sat outside his room and called his phone. I heard it vibrate in his room, but he didn't even answer it.

Now I was beyond hurt and pissed off.

I began to storm out of the house but stopped at the front door and just screamed. "KEVIN! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!"

The noises stopped.

Kevin stumbled out of his room, boxers and sex hair.

Tears filled my eyes. "HOW COULD YOU?" I screamed. It cut my throat as I yelled at the top of my lungs, the last word becoming a pained shriek. His eyes grew wide as he ran down the stairs towards me. "Autumn." He said, low and husky. There was something off in his voice but I couldn't put my finger on it. I ran out the door, heading as far as I could away from Kevin. My stomach turned as I thought about my love for Kevin once again, and the fact of the matter was that he ruined our chances. I made it to the end of the block, jogging swiftly, tears springing from my pale face. Sitting on the curb, I called Jason. "Please pick me up." I whispered, shaking. "I'll be right there." I could hear the serious tone he used.
