I thought about it. What should I do? I mean I can't just stand here. Kevin, this popular prep with the perfect everything is on his knees begging me for forgiveness.

I held out my hand and pulled him up. Once on his feet, I slapped him so hard, I knocked the wind out of him, causing him to fall back down.

"You don't cheat on me and get away with it." I huffed. He looked at me, his cheek red. "Also," I stated, "I'm breaking up with you..." I didn't look in his eyes. "Even though we weren't really dating.

Listen," I said, sitting down so me and him were at eye level. I put my hand on his jaw, causing him to look me right in the eyes.

"I'm setting you up for disaster, okay? Being with me is like being with a stick of dynamite. The only one that can handle it is Jason." I looked down, and then back into his eyes. "I like you Kevin. But you don't love me. And hearing you say that hurts. A lot. Love is.... Really rare. I just wanted to say I'm here for you, and I still want to be friends. But I can't handle the relationship thing right now." I was about to back away when he slammed his lips into mine. The shock was fatal, and I couldn't think. I felt a faint spark, like Kevin was a fading fire in my heart. I kissed him back, but that fire didn't grow. His lips were soft, but his breath tasted like vodka and I pulled away.

"I'm sorry. I-I just had to because.... If that was our last kiss...." He blushed.

He'd been drinking. It all clicked in my mind. His voice was different, He stumbled. But why forgive him. I looked at him. "Were you drunk?" I said, angry.

"Yeah. It wasn't my fault I mean,I was intoxicated and out of it. I didn't know..."

I cut him off. "See? When you're drunk, you are still you... Just more dauntless. Its you without a conscience. ...If you loved me than you wouldn't have had sex with some girl." I turned around. "Ans the fact that you even got drunk in the first place..." I drifted off into my thoughts. "And you didn't even remember that night. Did you?!"

He looked at me and gulped. "No..." I turned back around and looked him in the eyes. "I'm going home." "Want a ride?" I avoided and kept walking.
