I have a funny story for you guys to hear! :D yaaaaaaaay!
So, it was Monday of this week and I was calmly watching Markiplier play the Escape The games. (You know, the stuck figure ones?)
I decided that I'd clean my glasses since they were kinda dirty and there was a glare on the screen.
Yea. I broke them. After that, I couldn't see for pretty much half an hour since my vision is terrible.
My older sister, Belle, decided to help fix them. The problem was that the super glue wouldn't keep my glasses together.
She then switched to an easier solution; tape. Electrical tape, to be specific.
I looked stupid! I couldn't see out of the corner of my left eye so it would've been hard for me to march in block! (For you non-band people reading, a block is basically everyone standing in a specific spot.)
Off topic a bit: where I stood in the block was the front since I play the trumpet. I was 3 people away from the right end of the block. If I marched with my old glasses, I couldn't use my periferal (Idk how to spell it but it's the "corner of your eye" sight) vision to see if I was marching in line with the people to my left and 2 lines would've been off coz of me. That's too much pressure for a Freshman!
Anyways, back on track.
My sister fixed my glasses with the electrical tape and I could actually see everything again. When it came time for band, I got ready and went with my dad to the high school.
Luckily, we didn't march that day and all we did was work on music and get even more music to learn.
The next day, mom woke me up coz she got me an appointment to get an eye exam and to get new glasses.
Well, my mom had a plan on that Tuesday. She wanted my dad to drive her to work, come back home, pick me up, and take me to the appointment.
That plan almost backfired since my appointment was at 10 am and dad was driving mom to work at 9.
Luckily, I was ready and waited for him to get back to pick me up.
When he picked me up, it was about 9:45. But he's a good driver so he got tea, and drove to the eye place.
We were only a couple minutes late but the people at the counter didn't mind at all. :3
We did the exam, got the prescription, and went to Eyemart Express to get my new glasses.
Apparently, my dad's insurance made it so we got another free pair! :D
So, I have new glasses now! I'll take pictures later. :P
That was the story! Hope you guys liked it! My eyes are still getting used to the glasses!
