"I haven't had a sleepover since, like, middle school." Evan fiddled with his shirt awkwardly. "I-I mean I've had some with Jared but usually they were to study or work on a project. W-well sometimes we hang out but I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm really annoying and-"

"Hey calm down." Connor said. "It's totally fine, I haven't had a sleepover in a really long time either."

"So...uh. You don't really have any pajamas or anything. Do you think you could fit into mine?" Evan's eyes raked over Connors body. He was a good four inches taller than him but was also extremely skinny.

"Yeah probably." Connor replied.

Evan opened his closet door, hoping Connor wasn't judging his excessively preppy wardrobe. This was super awkward. Connor probably just wore normal pajamas, right? He shifted around in his drawers, pulling out a pair of navy plaid pajama pants that were a bit too long for him, and an old white t-shirt.

"Here." He handed them to Connor. "You can go change in the bathroom. I'm pretty sure there's an extra toothbrush in the cabinet under the sink."

Connor thanked him and left Evan in privacy to change. He pulled on pajama pants and a t-shirt and got an air mattress, a pillow, and blankets out of the linen closet.

When he walked back into his room Connor was sitting on his bed with his hair in a messy bun on the top of his head, small strands falling in his face.

Holy shit he looked adorable.

Connor looked up from his phone, his blue eyes meeting Evan's green ones. It took all of Evan's willpower not to tuck the stray hairs behind Connor's ears.

"So...um." He muttered.

"Let me help you with that." Connor took the blankets from Evan's, their hands brushing over each other's.

They set up the mattress for Connor and the two sat down.

"It's 10:15 but I don't feel like sleeping. Do you wanna watch a movie?" Evan asked.

"Yeah, what movies do you like?" Connor responded.

"Lets go downstairs and you can look at what we have. There's also Netflix."

The two trudged down the stairs and Evan opened the cabinet under the TV. Connor sifted through the movies, pulling out "The Exorcist."

"No." Evan spoke immediately. Connor laughed.

"Are you scared of it?"

"W-well, I haven't actually seen it but I hear it's really scary, a-and it looks horrifying."

"You haven't seen The Exorcist? But that's one of the most classic scary movies of all time!" Connor gaped at him.

"W-well, I don't really like scary movies all that much because I have nobody to watch them with and I don't like watching them alone."

"I'm here with you."

What Evan didn't want was to watch a scary movie and end up crying or clinging to Connor. But he was also flustered from Connor's previous comment so he just sat there stuttering. Connor chuckled.

"Its ok if you don't want to watch it. It's a pretty intense movie. Maybe one that's less scary, like...ah! The Shining! You've seen The Shining, right?

Evan shook his head at Connor.

"What! Oh my gosh we have to watch The Shining then."

Thunder crackled outside and Evan flinched. Great. Scary movies while they were home alone, with thunder and lighting. Just what he wanted.

"O-ok." Evan nodded. Connor could kind of tell he was a bit uncomfortable watching it though, so he put it back on the shelf.

"What movies do you like?"

"W-well, I love Harry Potter as you know. I've seen all the Star Wars movie's countless times. A-and all of The Lord of the Rings too!"

God dammit he sounded like a complete nerd.

Connor however, found it endearing and smiled at Evan, who continued to browse the movie collection.

"Schindler's List is really good, but it's super sad. So is Forrest Gump."

"Ugh Forrest Gump is so sad." Connor mumbled. "But it's also really funny."

"Yeah." Evan giggled.

"Do you like sad movies?" Connor asked, pulling "Titanic" off the shelf.

"Sometimes." Evan responded. He was definitely not going to tell Connor about how hard he sobbed watching Titanic.

"I've never seen Titanic." Connor said. "I don't think I'd like it very much."

"You've never seen Titanic!" Evan gasped. "But it's such a classic!"

"So is The Shining." Connor retorted with a grin.

"Fair enough."

"I have seen Jaws though, if that counts as a scary movie." Evan spoke up.

"Jaws is a great movie." Connor replied. "Zoe and I watched it when we were like 9 and 8, at the beach. Bad decision.

"I actually don't think I've ever been the the beach before." Evan looked slightly embarrassed. "I mean maybe when I was really little, before my dad had left, but I don't remember it. Now my mom has to work so much more as a single parent, she doesn't have much time for vacation. It's also kind of expensive.

"I can't believe you haven't been to the beach before! We...uh." Connor scratched the back of his neck. "We have a vacation home in South Carolina, so we're at the beach a lot. I'll take you one day."

"O-oh gosh that's really nice of you Connor." Evan stumbled over his words, his face getting closer to the taller boy's.

"You can't be a senior in High School and have not gone to the beach. I won't allow it."

"Thank you!" Evan blushed. "I'm sure there's not much you haven't done."

"There's actually a good amount of stuff I've never done." Connor shrugged. "I've never had a pet. I've never gone too the Zoo. I've actually never gone sledding before."

"What!" Evan looked at him in shock. "This Winter you have to go sledding with me."

"I've gone skiing before."

"I haven't." Evan replied.

"I hate it." Connor answered.

"Oh." Evan looked at him. Their faces were really close together now. It was awkward for a few seconds as they stared at each other and then Connor spoke in a whisper.

"Do you know what else I haven't done?"

"What?" Evan answered back in a soft voice. Connor's face mere centimeters from his.

"Kissed anyone."

And then it just happened. Connor's lips were on Evan's, and Evan's hands were in Connor's hair, and it was absolute bliss. Evan's head was spinning and his heart was beating so fast he was sure Connor could hear it. It all just felt so good and it was too much. Evan pulled away.

He immediately missed Connor's warmth and ached to kiss him again. Connor looked at him in concern.

"I-I'm so sorry." He muttered. "I shouldn't have just done that, I should have asked, I-"

"No no no!" Evan interrupted him. "You're totally fine it's just I've never done that either and...woah."

A smile spread across Connor's face.

"So, that was a good thing?" Connor asked hopefully.

"A great thing." Evan responded, leaning into Connor. "And I want to do it again."

Connor responded eagerly, pulling Evan closer to him and crashing their lips together.
