Epilogue

Drake pulled into their driveway and parked the car before switching off the engine and removing his seatbelt.

Drake: We're home

He said with a smile and prompting a chuckled from Nicki who was sat at the back watching the new born as he slept peacefully. Drake decided to get out of the car and begin taking in the bags, so that he could get the door open before he came back for Nicki and Maliki.

He unbuckled the carseat and held it with his right hand before walking round to the other side and opening the door for Nicki and allowing her to hold onto his left arm for support. They walked into the house and headed straight for the living room allowing them to get settled.

After making sure the car was closed and locked and their house alarm was sorted drake made his own was to the living room and took a seat next to nicki before releasing a sigh.

Drake: Feels so good to finally be back home

She just moved closer to him before wrapping her arms around his bicep and resting her head on his shoulder.

Nicki: It feel even better having you back. We all missed you so much

He gave her a small smile before placing a kiss on her temple.

Drake: It would've never happened if it wasn't for you.

Their attention was soon diverted after hearing the unhappy coos from their son. Drake gave a small smile before standing and walking over to take him out of the car seat and allowing him to stretch. He gave him a kiss on the cheek and brought him into his chest, remaining standing as he turned his focus back to Nicki.

Drake: come on, you can show me his new room

He held out his hand for her and she gladly took it, allowing them to slowly make their way up the stairs so that she could show him the room she had designed...

3 months later...

Nicki held her dress up before walking over to him and asking him to tie it for her. He gladly did as she asked and she couldn't help but smile at their reflection in the mirror.

They were finally back on track with everything and for the first time in what seemed like forever, they had finally managed to organise a date night for just the pair of them. With Nicki's mother offering to baby sit, they had nothing stopping them from enjoying some alone time and so they had taken the opportunity.

She thanked him and walked over to the mirror to finish her look as he worked on sorting his cuff links and doing up the rest of his buttons.

Once Nicki was satisfied with her own look, she strolled over to him and picked up his bow tie from the vanity table, causing him to turn and face her, allowing her to tie it for him.

Nicki: You look very handsome Mr. Graham... Got me contemplating if I even wanna leave the house anymore.

He chuckled and scanned her from head to toe; the desire in his eyes being very apparent.

Drake: That makes too of us. You look beautiful

She moved away from him with a smirk - which he soon mirrored - and picked up her clutch bag and headed out of their bedroom and down the stairs allowing him to follow...

The journey was fairly short and generally filled with conversation, and once they arrived they were very quickly seated at their own table in a secluded area of the restaurant allowing them to their own company.

Nicki: it feels so weird not having him around

Drake: I know, it's too quite and carefree

They both laughed. Drake then reached over and took her hands before kissing them both.

Drake: You look so gorgeous tonight

Nicki: thank you

She gave him a small smile and blushed causing him to chuckle. A waiter came over to take their orders, interrupting their moment but they picked up where they left off once he was gone.

Nicki: we really haven't got a moment to appreciate each other in a while. I've missed this

Drake: me too. My case was an inconvenience but now it's out of the way we can really focus on each other and building our family

Nicki: definitely

Drake: I'm sure Ki will want some siblings in the near future

He said with a smirk and she just chuckled before playfully rolling her eyes.

Nicki: we can give it a while sir. I've only just recovered

They both laughed before he kissed her hand again.

Drake: take as long as you want baby girl, but just know I at least want a little you running around as well

Nicki: and I'm sure we can make that happen

Her eyes shifted towards the view that they had of the city and just admired it...

After finishing their meal they made their way out of the restaurant and decided to go for stroll in the near by park.

They walked hand in hand and enjoyed the light playing of the band. Stopped by the fountain before he brought her into his light embrace and they just rocked gently.

Drake: I love you

Nicki: I love you too

He placed a few kisses on her shoulder before sighing.

Drake: I can't hold this out any longer

He pulled away from her causing her to shiver at the loss of heat, but he was quick to give her his jacket.

Nicki: what are you on about

Drake: I can't keep holding this out nic. There's nothing for me left to hold out for.

He got down on one knee before taking out the small velvet box from his pocket and opening it, causing her to gasp as her hands flew to her mouth.

Drake: never in my life have I been as in love with a person as I am with you. You are honestly a blessing and I can't thank god enough for bringing you into my life. I could write you books upon books in why you are the most important woman in my life and why I love you, but for now I'm gonna cut to the chase. I wasn't planning to do this tonight but I've been carrying this ring with me for the past couple of months waiting on the moment I would just pluck up the courage to ask you and I've never felt like there a was more perfect time than now. So Nicki, will you marry me?

She chuckled at the twinkle that was on his eyes as he looked up at her.

Nicki: of course I'll marry you Aubrey

She let the tears fall as a smile graced her face and he couldn't help but smile. He stood up and placed the ring on her finger before they shared a kiss.

Nicki: I love you

Drake: I love you more baby girl and this is just the beginning of our lifetime together...
