"There's three guards around that corner, be careful," Pidge warned throughout the comms. "Roger that," You replied. You and Keith ran even faster down the hallways of Zarkon's Central Command. When the two of you turned the corner, you both attacked the unsuspecting guards. You and Keith stayed there for a moment, trying to catch your breaths, before more footsteps approached.
"You," A familiar, croaked voice wheezed from behind. It can't be her, you thought in disbelief. You and Keith both turned around, meeting face to face with the leader of the druids: Haggar. "I was expecting the Champion, but you will suffice too, Lioness," She said. You grimaced at the name.
"I am no longer your so called 'Lioness', Haggar. I am [Name] [Last Name], Paladin of the White Lion and Healer of Voltron!" You yelled, charging towards her. "[Name]! Wait!" Keith called out. He knew the consequences of fighting Zarkon head on, he could only imagine what Haggar could do.
You bayard had already been out and in it's weapon form: a large scythe. You had spent too long being Haggar's slave, and you were going to pay her back. Filled with vengeance for your fallen friends and your tarnished past, you attacked her head on.
She used fake clones to circle around you, but you just circled the large scythe around; destroying all the clones. "I've made you stronger, I've made your senses sharper, and this is how you repay me?!" She yelled at you, outraged. She ran towards you, a ball of energy in her hands, and you ran back at her, ready to slice her down.
"I bet you told Shiro the same thing," You growled, annoyed, "Well, news flash! Physically improving someone unwillingly isn't something they should thank you for."
You weren't prepared for her to suddenly teleport in front of you. In the moment when you were defenseless and surprised, she hit you with the ball of energy. You coughed up blood from the force of the hit, before flying backwards into a nearby wall. She stalked towards you, ready to deal that final blow, but Keith fought her off and she soon retreated.
You laid in the newly formed dent in the wall that you had created; fading in and out of consciousness. "Y-you're going to be okay, [Name]," You heard Keith say, his voice shaky. "I know I will, I didn't survive through Haggar's bullshit to die," You responded jokingly. Dying was the least of your worries right now.
The two of you eyed the glowing hole near your heart, blood pouring out nonstop. You placed a hand over it and pressed down in a vain attempt to stop the bleeding. "Hang tight, [Name], we're gonna get you out of here." He picked you up, a hand under your knees and one supporting your head, and ran off.
"We have to retreat; [Name] got attacked by Haggar and the blood won't stop," Keith yelled through the comms. "Shiro and Lance are coming, Keith. Hunk, Pidge, come with me and prepare a healing pod," Allura instructed.
"You're gonna be okay, [Name]," He repeated, but it fell onto deaf ears as you were unconscious. "You're gonna be okay. . ."

Keith was worried, he should've been there to stop you. He shouldn't have let you fight her head on like that, now here you were, resting peacefully in a healing pod. How long did he stay there? Days? He couldn't tell. The healing process would be long from what Allura told him, but he was willing to wait.
He felt bad, remembering how you told him what happened with Haggar. He knew the extent of your hatred and revenge. He heard the familiar hiss of the healing pod opening and a groggy moan. He turned around and there you were in all your glory.
"[Name]," He whispered breathlessly. "In the flesh," You grinned, shivering soon afterwards. You took a step forward, but tripped on your own feet.
You stumbled not-so-gracefully into his arms. God, if this were some cliche movie, he'd kiss you. But now wasn't the time. He carefully slid off his jacket and wrapped it around you.
"Nice to have you back," He said, wrapping your arm around his shoulder. "It's nice to be back," You smiled at him, using him as support. "Thanks for saving me back there. . ." You trailed off. "I don't know what I'd do without you here, I—I couldn't just leave you to die," He replied, the two of you slowly walking towards your room.
"What time is it?" You said as you opened the door to your room. "I'm not sure, but everyone is asleep," He told you, leading you to your bed. Once you were settled into your bed, Keith walked to the door, "Well, good night, [Name]."
"Wait."
He stopped, a hand on the threshold on the door, and turned to face you with a raised eyebrow.
"Stay with me."
He smiled, "Okay."
