Dear Anonymous,

You have the most beautiful eyes. A mixture of green, gray, and gold, that is impossible to describe with words. And when the sunlight shines just right, everyone becomes lost in them as if time has stopped. Your eyes are like magic.

But one day your eyes stopped glowing the way they used to.

Your eyelids were tired and heavy. The irises became dull, and just below them, circles formed a dark shade. Your eyes became filled with sadness and tears fell from them regularly.

Then I stopped seeing the tears, your eyes, and you, all together. I wondered if the magic in your eyes made you disappear.

But the magic act lasted longer than it should've. Days turned to weeks, and weeks turned into months, and still no sign of those gorgeous eyes.

I was about to give up hope. You hadn't given me much of a choice.

You've finally returned, but your eyes still aren't the same. They remain bloodshot and dark, no longer letting the sunlight in.

But sometimes I'll see a hint of a sparkle, and that is all I need to know that in time you'll regain the magic that was once yours.

Sincerely,
Me
