November 19
Dear Anonymous,We've been friends since sixth grade, I wouldn't considered us the best of friends, but we're friends nonetheless.
You're super sweet, pretty, and popular, but you're always searching for someone's approval. Usually this wouldn't bother me, but this time it does.
You want approval from someone that made me feel worthless. You want approval from someone who shattered me and broke me beyond repair. You want approval from someone who made me feel like no one.
You want approval from him.
You talk about him like he's an angel from heaven. You think he sits on some golden pedestal. You think that by devoting yourself to him, that you'll feel complete.
You won't, trust me. I was once in your shoes. He's not an angel from heaven, he's from the depths of hell. There is no pedestal. Devoting yourself to him will drive you insane, and he will take everything from you that's important. He will take everything from you that could take you away from him.
But I know you won't listen. It's truly a shame. I wish I had listened when others told me to stay away. I cannot convince you, only try. So take your hands off your ears and listen. I do not want you to end up like I did. I want you to know that he'll treat you like an object.
You'll tell me he's changed, but just like you, I won't listen.
Sincerely,
Me
