Dear Anonymous,

One year ago I started this series. I wrote about a boy who broke my heart. A boy who made me feel worthless and like if I disappeared no one would care.

A lot can change in a year.

A year ago I was crying over a boy. Today I felt important and loved. I felt so many emotions it was hard to pinpoint them.

Today I smiled because of you. You made me laugh, almost cry (out of happiness), and most of all I didn't feel like I was weird. I felt comfortable around you, with all my secrets exposed. You made me feel unashamed.

I learned a lot in a year. You can't wait to tell people how you feel. You just have to tell people when you feel it. I also learned that you don't always end up where you thought you would be. Sometimes extraordinary people come into your life and you have to re-evaluate all of your personality. That's okay, too.

Never let anyone tell you who you can and cannot love. Never let anyone tell you that you need to justify who you love. Remember that I'm always going to be there for you.

So thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you forever and always, no matter where life takes us.
