You were a mountain ranger at the Mt. Ebott memorial park until one day while you were on the job you saw a child running towards the more dangerous part of the mountain and attempted to stop them you were about 5'7 and didn't think you would fall but you did. "Hey! kid be careful- ah !". You reach over and attempt to grab onto the child's hand but unfortunately end up falling along with them and landing straight down into the abyss of the unknown cavern. This led to landing straight down and being knocked unconscious as you fell into a large pile of golden yellow flowers. You woke up in the home of the sweet goat lady formally known as Toriel and though Flowery tried to murder you with his kind "friendliness pellets" the child you attempted to help saved you as a distraction and helped Toriel take you back to her home. You learn that the child's name is Frisk and you immediately take responsibility for the child and decide it would be best to stay for the evening, and of course, this was a strange circumstance, but you knew that if Toriel truly meant to harm you she would have done something already. As time went on you eventually decide that maybe it would be best to stay with her due to her being the first friendly face you met since when you first fell, but frisk of course decides against it and insists that you attempt to go home. He eventually convinces you that you should move on and, of course, that leads to you bumping into Mr. Sans-Undertale)

~Flash back~

Y/n Pov. It had been a day since my encounter with 'flowery the flower' and though Toriel was a great caretaker I had a family at home I wanted to get back to...  Frisk had made a good point we had to get home, unfortunately, my leg was sprained, and I was suffering from a slight head injury.  I decided to try to play things cool with Toriel as both me and frisk helped her set the table. "So... I'm kind of new to all this but ... what are you exactly?"  I asked as I gently place the plates down on the table. "Oh, I suppose we didn't get to finish our official meeting my apologies child... I am Toriel I'm a monster as you humans would call me," she said in a soft and calm tone as she gently set the utensils on the table. "I see... I heard many tales of monsters and magic when I was a kid... I guess they weren't just rumors after all." I exclaimed softly as I looked at her in slight awe.

Little did I know frisk had slipped off and decided to do some investigating for a way to get out of Toriel's house so we could go and find our way out of the underground, as time went on me and Toriel became rather well acquainted, "Oh goodness we got so lost in conversation I almost forgot to get the pie" Toriel exclaimed softly as she turned and hurried towards the kitchen. Frisk had returned from his investigating and now sat down at the table acting as if nothing happened... I sat down next to him as Toriel now reentered the room with a delicious-looking butterscotch cinnamon pie in her hands.

"Thank goodness I remembered it was in there... my apologies child," Toriel said as she places down the freshly baked pie the entire room becomes filled with blissful goodness. "Oh, wow! that pie smells amazing Toriel and please call me Y'n" I say softly as both me and frisk take in the sweet aroma. Toriel cut the pie and continued, "You can stay here as long as you need Y'n, it seems that you and frisk need someone to watch over you until you're at your full strength." She placed the pie on my plate and at first, I was going to protest but I was too hungry to hold back much longer. I practically devoured my piece of pie as Frisk ate only a little bit of his piece and put the rest away for later.

After we all ate some of the pie, we got ready to get some rest but before I went into the room with Toriel Frisk requested that I read him a bedtime story which I found odd because he doesn't normally ask for that kind of thing... I knew something was up, but I went into the room and Frisk proceeded to tell me his plan to go home. He said Toriel wasn't teaching me the puzzles she showed him so she could keep me here with her and keep him here too. He said he couldn't leave me behind out of the guilt of accidentally getting me to fall with him. I reassured him that it wasn't his fault and from then we devised our plan together to get back home.
