I waited at Ambrosias locker, playing on my phone.
"Aw dammit," I muttered, flicking through my messages.
Z: dangerous game ur playing. Give up nw. T kno u 2 well. Knos ur in luv. Stop be4 it 2 L8. Be4 he find out.
"That guy can't spell," a sweet female voice said.
I cursed and tuned my phone off, looking up at Ambrosia.
She smiled at me innocently."Who's Z?"
"You weren't supposed to read that," I muttered, running a hand through my hair.
She laughed and I felt a small blush creep into my cheeks. "It's not like I could read much. Firstly it was upside down and secondly I can't read text langue. Muddles my brain," she pulled a face and laughed.
I couldn't help but stare at her beautiful eyes, the violet color shining brighter than usual.
"Is that so princess?" I smirked, hoping it covered up the red in my cheeks.
She frowned at the nickname I had given her.
"Why princess?" She asked, her brow raised.
I leaned closer and felt my heart speed up. Her eyes widened in surprise at how close I was and she held her breathe.
"You don't like it?" I asked, my voice low and mischievous.
Her eyes darted around my face, finally settling on my eyes.
"I...I-um-" she stuttered.
"Yes?" I smirked.
"No it's fine," she replied, looking away.
I leaned in closer, our lips almost meeting as we stared into each others eyes.
I noticed every shade of violet, saw every type of purple I never knew could've existed.
"Percy. What are you doing?" She whispered, her voice quivering.
I said nothing, just watched her.
Her lips looked soft, a light shade of red.
Then I smirked and stepped back.
"Did ya get excited?" I chuckled, watching as she watched me.
She scowled and swatted my arm. "You jerk! I thought you were gonna kiss me!"
I chuckled, then leaned closer again. She stopped in surprise again.
"I'd never take you away from Thomas. Besides," I smirked,"I'm not all that into casual affairs."
I stared at the once full bottle of vodka, the clear liquid almost gone.
"Percy? Are you here?" An unfamiliar male voice asked.
"Right here!" I slurred, throwing the bottle back. The liquor burned my throat and I laughed, enjoying the feeling.
"Oh god. What's going on?" A teenage boy asked, looking down at me.
"It's a party! Woo hoo!" I laughed, raising the bottle,"Want some?"
The boy had light hair and looked down at me with distaste.
"Is that vodka?" He asked, scrunching his nose.
"Is it?" I stared at the bottle but the words were blurred and I just smiled, looking at him,"Well whatever it- hic -is, it tastes good. By the way, who - hic - are you?"
"It's me Percy. Zak. Thomas told me Ambrosia left a few moths ago and I came to check if she was here. Imagine my surprise when I found your door wide open," he said, narrowing his eyes.
"Oh it's open? Whoops. Hic! Well you can go now. Cause look around! I don't see any Ambrosia around here! Hic!" I laughed again, taking another swig.
"Give me that," Zak snapped, taking the bottle away.
"Hey! That's -hic - mine!" I protested, trying to grab it back. But I was off balance and instead just ended up falling back down.
"Look at yourself. You're a disgrace," Zak said.
"Well what am I supposed to do? Party? Have friends over? My best friend abused the girl I love and I was too much of a coward to stop him. Not to mention the fact that she won't even look at me! So you tell me what I'm supposed to do, and I'll do it. But until then, leave me alone. I just want to drink in peace," I said, grabbing the bottle back from him.
"This isn't you Percy," Zak said, shaking his head.
"The Percy you knew died when Ambrosia fell into that coma. Now get out my house," I replied, sipping the vodka.
Zak sighed and watched me pitifully, then left.
"It's just you and me old friend," I said, staring at the bottle,"Just you...and me..."
