She blew out, the air misting up where her breath hit.
She watched it fade and then turned to me. She smiled, having caught me staring.
I blushed and looked away, then looked back at her.
Her violet eyes smiled at me as I stared at her again.
"Are you just gonna stand there and stare?" She smiled, watching me.
"What else would I do?" I asked, standing in the doorway.
Her smile widened and she laughed.
"You could join me," she replied.
"Join you?"
Her eyes sparkled with laughter and she took my hands. Her hands were ice cold, and soft.
"Play with me in the snow. Let's build something," she laughed, dragging me out in the snow.
I watched her, speechless. Her nose was a pink and her pale skin stood out in the snow.
She bent down, picking up a hand full of snow and smiled back at me.
Her flawless lips pulled up beautifully and revealed white teeth.
"What?" She smiled, shaping the ball of snow.
"What?"
"Why are you staring?" She laughed.
"I'm not staring," I replied, bending down and scrapping up a handful of snow.
It chilled my skin to the bone and I felt chills raced down my spine, but I knew it wasn't the snow.
Splat!
My eyes widened as something cold hit my back and ran off as I straightened up in surprise.
"Wha..." my voice trailed off as her laughter cut through the air.
I narrowed my eyes at her, loving the way her head tilted upwards and her whole body seemed to radiate laughter and happiness.
"Did you just throw something at me?" I asked, stalking towards her.
"Who? Little old me?" She smiled innocently and stepped backwards.
I opened my mouth to respond when my foot caught on something in the snow and my eyes widened as I begun falling.
"Oof!"
I landed on something soft and opened my eyes.
Ambrosias shocked face met my eyes and I suddenly realized I was on top of her.
Her eyes refused to meet mine as pink blush set in her cheeks.
"Um..." she stumbled over her words.
And in a wild moment of lust, I took her arms and pinned them above her head, staring down at her beautiful shocked eyes.
"Percy?" She whispered, yet she didn't seem to be asking me to stop.
I leaned down slowly, my lips meeting hers.
At first our lips were just brushing each other, but soon enough they burned with passion as she tilted her head up and leaned into the kiss.
We pulled apart after a minute for a much needed breath and she smiled at me.
"What was that for?" She asked, breathless.
"Nothing...I just wanted you to know..."
"Yes?"
"That I love you."
Suddenly she couldn't meet my eyes and she tried to sit up.
I watched her as she stood up.
"What? Did I say something wrong?" I asked, standing alongside her.
"I don't love you Percy. I love Thomas. You know that."
"I don't think you do," I replied.
"You don't have any say in this," she said, walking away.
I was too late.
White police cruisers stood outside her house, along with an ambulance.
My eyes darted over the flashing blue and red lights and I sighed in relief as my eyes found Ambrosia.
She sat at the back of the ambulance, a blanket over her shoulders as the jock stood beside her, his arm over her shoulder.
He leaned closer to whisper something and a ghost of a smile played on her lips.
She laughed softly and her eyes suddenly wandered over and met mine.
They widened in surprise and she stood up, her eyes searching my face.
"Percy?" She started towards me, then her eyes flew open as they landed on my stomach,"Oh my god..."
"Amb...thank god you're saf-" blackness tinged the edges of my vision as I finally collapsed, the blood flowing through my fingers faster.
"Percy!" She shrieked, rushing to my side. She put her hands on my cheeks, screaming for a medic.
She looked back down at me, her eyes rimmed with tears.
"just hold on Percy. Hold on," she whispered.
My other hand went up, cupping her cheek. I smiled. "Why are you crying Amb? I'll be fine. I'm indestructible remember?" I said softly.
New tears welled up at the corners of her eyes and she looked up. "Medic! Someone help!" She screamed.
My eyes drooped, darkness finally taking over, the last sound being Ambrosias voice.
