We sat there, looking up at the starry sky. But I tore away my gaze when I felt his hand on mine. He's starting to do it more often and I like it. He doesn't hesitate anymore.

"After the girl you loved years ago, did you ever find anyone else?" I asked.

He glanced at me. "I met many people but I would not say I've fallen back in love. I never had the time to do so. And you?" He asked me with his eyebrow raised.

"Once." I answered, smiling, "I'm lame, Loki. I'm no fun."

"I find that hard to believe. I think you are fascinating," he whispered. "You are brave, trustworthy, and unique."

I couldn't help but grin and my cheeks felt hot. He seemed to be blushing, too.

He grinned back at me, still holding my hand, but now, tighter.

"Thanks, Loki. I never met anyone like you. You're sensitive and definitely not what people expect. You're...perfect." I sneered. "Well, who am I kidding? You're supposed to be, you're a god." I teased.

He shook his head as if the word had offended him. "Let us forget about that at the moment. We are, by all means, discussing us."

I nodded.

"I don't know how and why, but I am falling for you, Alice."

That sent shivers down my spine.

Loki breathed in, "Would it still be possible for me to change your mind? Say...make you fall in-love with me if I were...different? Or perhaps if we met at a different time?"

"But getting to know you made me want you," I said.

"You said that I was different—"

"—Unique. And there is nothing wrong with that."

"How could you possibly fall for me?"

I stared into his green eyes as he looked back at me. His lips curved into a smile. Slowly, he leaned closer. My heart wanted to leap out of my chest. The anticipation was agonizing.

He gently placed his hand on my left cheek, never breaking eye contact. All of a sudden, I'm feeling my lips on his. Soft and wet was all I felt, and my whole body ached for more.

But then I feel a drop of rain on my shoulder. He must have felt raindrop on him, too, as it interrupted the whole thing. Thunder roared and we pulled away.

"Oh my god," I laughed as it began to rain. "Come on," I gestured for us to leave.

We both stood up as the rain poured over us.
