I woke up on the couch, sunlight pouring through the sliding glass window. The sun rays landed on the entertainment center and made the crystal on their cable box shine with pink light. It was nice. I cuddled more into the blanket I had on and remembered last night. I grabbed onto what was on top of me, and it was an actual blanket, not Rick's lab coat. He wasn't beneath me either. I grunted.

Morty walked into the room with a mug. He saw me and his eyebrows raised.

"Oh...h-hey (Y/n), I uh...I thought you were sleeping in Summer's room now." He said. The sun made the top of his washed brown hair golden. I gave a small smile.

"Uh yeah...I couldn't sleep last night so I just uhh...came down here." I said quickly. He looked away as he wrinkled his nose.

"Cool...uh...Rick went to go do some business by himself, and Mom, Dad, and Summer went to this thing so..." He trailed off. I scratched the back of my neck. I haven't really spent time with Morty by myself, but it could be fun. I sat up on the couch and moved the blanket to the side.

"Well, what did you wanna do before you saw me in here?" I asked him. His gaze shifted over to a pile of games for the console that he owned. I raised my eyebrows with a huge smile.

"Oh! Oh! Keep going, keep going!"

"No, no, no! He-he's got me with his tongue!"

"Oh crap, okay I'll come back for you!"

     "Hurry I'm dying!"

"Uh, uh, get off get off! Okay! Okay, get up get up!"

      "Let me heal!"

"No, we're almost there Morty just run! Take your adrenaline shot!"

       "...Okay, I took it."

"Run to the safe room! Oh...oh...watch out for the Charger! Oh, he missed! Okay, go, go!"

      "I'm here shut the door!"

"YES!!" We both shouted and jumped up on the floor with our legs still crossed.

"Oh yeah run those points! Look at the score difference! 1867 points to only 145. Cause' you don't mess with Morty Smith!" I said while rubbing Morty's hair. He closed one eye as I ruffled his hair. We were in the middle of an intense game of Versus in Left 4 Dead 2. It was backwards compatible so we could play the old game on the new console. Morty was good at it, but I grew up with it. Playing this game was like riding a bike.

"Alright, so we're at the Mall now. We have good teammates so this should be easy." I said. Heavy gunshots emanated from the TV as I used an M-16 to kill the horde of zombies. I shredded through them with my weapon and Morty hacked zombie's heads off with a ninja sword.

"You know this one time me and Rick went on an adventure to a different planet that had zombies on every full moon, so they were running toward us, but Rick j-just took a disc that disinfected them and turned them normal," Morty told me as he threw a Molotov at a charging Tank. "The best part was that the people didn't know how to kill them for hundreds of years, s-so Rick saved them I guess." He said.

"Huh. Y'know you guys always talk about going to different planets and stuff but how is that even possible?" I asked him. He looked at me sideways.

"Wh-wh-what do you mean?" Morty asked. The Tank had died. It fell to its knees and crashed to the floor. I healed myself and Morty protected me from the zombies.
