"Pfft great, we're stuck in the Circus Animal cookie dimension. It's only an *eeugh* matter of time before a frosted pink giraffe with a bitten-off leg wobbles in here and interrogates me." Rick grumbled, choosing a bad time to be sarcastic. His hands twisted in the rope they were bound in behind his back, showing me he didn't like the scratchy fibers itching his skin. The cheetah-human hybrid, who I assumed was the boss, rolled her eyes and looked at Rick, who refused to look at her back.

"There shouldn't be anything to interrogate, Mr. Sanchez, if you would tell us where the Column Rock is located. It appears to still be missing after you fled from the Flora and Fauna breeding planet of galaxy Krunumpulon 16. I would be willing to...cut a deal, if we were to get a hold of the Column Rock in a quicker fashion." The cheetah told him with her hands on her hips. She was fascinating, like her human facial expressions were normal and she had normal eyes and body type, but she had the nose, whiskers and facial structure of a cheetah. I couldn't grasp it. Her hands were orange-tinted (?) but they had the markings of the primal animal, like henna tattoos. She cast her gaze over to me with bronze pupils. Luckily I wasn't too far gone in my analyzation so I met her gaze with my own glare.

"What deal would we want with you? Your men punched Rick until his nose bled like a busted faucet, my ribs recently just healed but they've probably broken again from the contact with the street your henchman threw me onto, they tied our arms behind our backs and were about to slap awake a 14-year-old kid! Any deal that you make with us would most likely be allowing us to keep our lives in exchange for the Rock instead of chopping us up and feeding us to your cubs for dinner later." I spat at her, referencing her animal-like appearance in my retort. I could see Rick giving me a sideways smirk. I thought he would be upset at me for messing up his plan he always seems to think up on the fly but it appeared that wasn't the case. My rambling got his hands enough time to become loose in their ropes. I swallowed and turned back to the boss cheetah. She had an amused face.

"Well, that was quite the performance. Despite all of the little shows I've had similar to that today I can say this one was the most expressive. I do apologize for my men being a bit too rough on you, but they probably felt more obligated to subjecting you to a harsher treatment due to A.) Your violent backstory and history of pillaging other planets, such as the breeding planet of Krunumpulon 16, they may have felt someone as experienced and tough as you could handle a little roughhousing, B.) We just so happen to have a connection to Mr. Sanchez, even before our alliance with the Erlosung Operation began and we were dubbed Second-In-Command Anders, so we felt Mr. Sanchez wouldn't be as annoyed with our more brute force since he's been subject to it before, and C.) We really do need that Column Rock back, and at this point, The Anders and the Supreme Leader aren't concerned with how we obtain it,  we just need it in our possession. You understand." The cheetah boss explained with a white-fanged smile. I took a breath and just glared at her. She took my words, I didn't know what to say.

She seemed so...pristine...as if nothing could touch her. Maybe instead of being the Second-In-Command, she was the Supreme Leader in her head already. Her hair, her human hair, was straight and perfect, not a hair out of place. Her outfit was perfectly pressed and wrinkle-free, even though she deals with rough brutes who yell and spit at her every day. It made me loathe her for some reason, like she was entitled. It made me feel inferior in comparison, with my stained clothes from the concrete and my head covered in sweat. The Column Rock started beating against my chest like a second heart on its silver chain, as if it knew it was being talked about. There was one thing that she wasn't an expert on; She didn't know the Rock she was searching for was in this very room.
