Gloria stood where she was, hand raised in the air, as total silence covered everything thing and everyone around that area.

"How do you know that they're here?" Jordan asked, breaking the silence.

Gloria put her finger to her lips then whispered, "The dog."

"The dog?" Jordan repeated with a confused look on his face, "What does that damned dog have to do with all of this?"

"I deliberately bought a wild one, one that I knew wouldn't shut it's mouth no matter what," Gloria replied.

Jordan began to understand what his wife had planned, but slowly. After he had a grasp on the entire situation, he said, "So you were waiting on them to-"

"Kill the mutt," Gloria finished.

"Crystal?" Young Vector whispered in the darkness of their room.

"Yeah?" The five year old girl replied.

"Do you think mom lied to us? Do you think we're gonna die?" Vector asked as tears slowly crept into his eyes, making it swell slightly.

Crystal climbed down from her bed and lay herself beside her twin brother on his, "We're gonna be okay, the Gods will make sure of it."

"The Gods are dead!" The boy wept.

Crystal's eyes began to water but she fought off the need to cry and held up a smile on her face, "Wanna see a magic trick?"

Vector nodded at her request, as he always did. They both sat up on the bed and smiled at each other. Crystal took Vector's hands in hers and held it high enough to be seen in the darkness. A warm sensation ran through Vector's palm as a tiny mass of light formed itself over it, lighting up the entire room.

Out of all the times Crystal had displayed her abilities to him, this was the most special, due to the fact that it was the first that he was able to feel the magic coursing through his veins.

Tears began to form in his eyes again, but tears of joy instead of sadness. He pulled his hands away from his sister's grip, making the tiny light disperse into the darkness as he wrapped his arms around her and wept on her shoulder.

She smiled as she slowly wrapped her arms around her brother, keeping him safe.

Gloria opened the door and peeked through, smiling as a single tear ran down her cheek.

She locked the door as she rushed to her husband's side, helping him put on his suit in order to defend himself.

"Why is this so heavy?" She asked while struggling to carry and fix the left arm of the suit on her husband's body.

"Maybe it's because it should be able to take a large amount of damage, give a lot of damage, and mostly because of the new cooler I had installed a few days ago," Jordan replied.

Gloria rolled her eyes while giving Jordan a playful hit on the shoulder, "Ouch! That hurts," he said.

"No it didn't."

"It does when the suit is half fixed and you slap the hard metal onto my oh so very sensitive skin."

"How much longer?" Roxanne asked from the outside while holding down the earpiece, ensuring that Roana could hear her.

"Just a few more minutes," she replied.

Roxanne sighed, "I'm sorry but I can't follow your orders any longer. The soldiers are getting restless and I'm pretty sure they know we're here. I hope you forgive me," she said before taking the earpiece out of her ear and squashing it.
