Skylar slowly made her way around the halls, foot steps echoing on the tiles as she walked.
She knocked softly on the firm, wooden door before her, "Who is it?" Came Crystal's voice from the inside.
"It's me," Skylar said leaning in the door, trying to make her voice more audible.
"Me who?" Crystal asked playfully.
Skylar giggled then leaned on the door again, "Just let me in."
Crystal did as she was told and opened up the door to Skylar.
"My father isn't here," Crystal said while looking up at Skylar with her grey eyes.
"I'm not here to see your father, I'm here to see you," she said as she stepped into the room, "Where's your brother?"
"He's with Doctor Valdez," Crystal replied.
"Why?" Skylar asked in a worried tone.
"Ever since that night, he kept waking up and breaking stuff with his noise, so dad sent him Doctor Valdez to try and fix it."
Skylar smiled at her and pat her head, "You're brother will be just fine as long as he's in the hands of Doctor Valdez. The best doctor in all of Vecha. If he can't fix him, no one can."
Tears developed in Crystal's eyes and fell down her cheeks as she grasped her velvet dress in her hands, "And what if he can't fix him? What'll happen to Vector then?"
Before Crystal completely burst out in tears, Skylar hugged her, putting her head against her breasts, "Your brother will be just fine. I promise."
"And if he isn't?" Crystal asked.
Skylar looked down on the ground, second thinking the words she was about to say, but knowing she'd regret it later on, she said it anyways, "If he doesn't make it out in one peace, I'll meet the same faith as every oath breaker in this kingdom."

Dust danced on the wooden floor in the rhythm of the wind.
Kai lay on the bed, staring up at the ceiling that failed to hide the night's sky up above due to the several bullet holes placed through it.
He sighed as he drifted to sleep, thoughts circling in his head, but before he was able to drift completely into the depths of his subconscious mind he heard a sound coming from the outside. A sound as quiet as a pin falling to the ground. A sound that only he could hear due to his fauna nature.
He sat up in the bed that was given to him and slowly reached for his swords, that Killshot kindly returned to him.
He silently moved to the area beside the door, awaiting his predator patiently.
His fox ears twitched slightly, signalling to him that danger was near, so as soon as the door was opened, a purple smoke filled the room, and he was nowhere to be found.
The man who entered had a bandana tied around his left eye and grimacing look on his face.
"He's not here?" He asked himself while fanning the smoke away from his face.
Two other men lined out behind him in the hall, guns in the air.
"Did you take him to this room?" The one eyed man asked.
"We did Ser Fillipe, I swear it!" Both of them replied at the same time.
"You did huh?" Fillipe asked.
