Try Outs

*Shelbys pov*

I jumped and stood up as I heard a knock on the door. "You okay babe?" Melo sighed, talking through the door.
"Yeah babe ill be out soon!" I cleaned my wrist up and then the razor. I put it back and pulled my sleeve down. I opened the door and smiled at Melo. "You didn't flush," he laughed.
"Yeah I know I just came in here to calm down I didn't use the bathroom," I laughed a bit. he nodded an gave me a weird look, then took me to the bedroom again.

The next day at school everything was the same as the day before. After school was try outs. I was really nervous, I didn't want to mess up. I really wanted this. I walked to the gym, where they were holding the try outs. I set my bag down and put on my dance shoes. I took a deep breath as I watch everyone else go. "Shelby," the coach called, then smiled up at me. I smiled back and stood up. I walked to where I was supposed to and I did my try outs. I finished and smiled over at the coach. "Good job go ahead and sit down," she smiled at me. I smiled back.
"Thank you," I walked to the bleachers and sat down. I tapped my foot a little bit as I watched the other girls try out. I looked over at Lacey who was talking to one of the seniors who was on the dance team last year. I heard them say a few things, but she was whispering. I shrugged a bit and stood up when the coach called us all. I sat down on the floor and she started calling names off for who was on the team. Then I heard my name, I sighed in relief and leaned back. I smiled bigger and looked at Lacey who was glaring at me. I shrugged a little bit at her and looked away. I don't think the dance team is going to be as fun this year...

I walked to Melo, who was waiting outside. "So did you make it?!" He stood up and smiled big at me. I looked up at him and smiled bigger. I nodded my head and hugged him tight giggling. "I made it baby!" I squealed and giggled.
"Im so proud of you!" He picked me up and held me close, spinning me around. I giggled hard and smiled bigger. I pulled away once Melo set me down. "Lets get home baby girl," he smiled, taking my hand. I nodded and kissed his hand a few times as we started walking to his house.

Once we got home we went to the kitchen where Tina was. She was talking on the phone and she gave us the "Be quiet and hold on" look. I set my bags down on the bottom step of the stars then sat down by Melo at the island. I put my head on his shoulder and waited for Tina to be done talking. She put the phone down and smiled at me. "There is a family that wants to meet you," she smiled, "He said that its two women and they have a younger son who is 5 and an older son who is 17."
"Okay," I smiled at her.
"They want a daughter now," she smiled at me. I nodded and smiled bigger.
"But anyways!" she handed us our plate of food, "Howd the try outs go!?"
"I made the team," I giggled, smiling bigger.
"I knew she would!" Melo chuckled.
"Im so happy for you!" She smiled at me and sat down. I giggled and ate my food, looking down a little bit.
"When can I meet them?" I looked back  up at Tina.
"Ill set it up for us okay?" She smiled at me.
"Okay," I smiled big.
