Guren observed some children playing. According to his calculations they had to have over the eight years. Just like her, if only she had been alive. A tear descended down his cheek, but Guren hurried to dry it. He had to stop rethinking about the past. You could no longer change what had been.

(Y/n) was wandering through the rubble of a city looking for food and shelter, only for a miracle she had managed to escape from the vampires. Everyone else had been taken away and now she didn't know how to do or what to do. How could she have survived? It would have been much easier if her brother had been at her side, but unfortunately he wasn't, the two had been separated for too long and she didn't even know if he was still alive. She would have liked to meet him... It was the only wish she had. "Hello little... Are you lost?" (Y/n) turned to the voice and terrified seeing a vampire advancing towards her. She gulped. Now there would be nothing more to do. She would never have been able to keep that monster in mind. "It's a shame you're all alone..." "Don't touch her! Filthy monster!" (Y/n) saw a raven-haired boy parade between her and the vampire. Soon after, other guys appeared next to each other. "You should stop making such reckless decisions, Yuu!" Blurted a female voice, but the boy seemed not to pay attention and attacked the vampire. (Y/n) yelled seeing the monster advancing in their direction and closed her eyes starting to cry. Shortly after she felt a hand on her shoulder. (Y/n) opened her eyes slowly. Two big green eyes were pointed at her. "Are you all right?" The boy asked. The little girl nodded. The boy smiled at her. "I am Yuuichiro and you? What's your name?" "(Y/n)." Whispered the little girl. "What do we do with her?" Asked a girl with blond hair. A boy with glasses and pink hair took word. "We'll bring her back to the town with us. We cannot abandon her here." "Kimizuki is right. Even if we don't finish the mission, I think Lieutenant Colonel will understand." Ended the girl with purple hair. (Y/n) vaguely succeeded in following their speech. Who knows who those guys were, but of course this wasn't a big deal for her, the really important thing was that they were saving her and the rest didn't count. "T-Thank you." She said with tears in her eyes. Yuuchiro smiled. "It's a pleasure. Being able to save someone from those monsters is the greatest satisfaction, baby." (Y/n) smiled happy. Now she'd be safe.

"Well. We're here. Now We'll have to deal with him." Sighed Yuuchiro. The little girl was curious, it's been a while since the boys were talking about this person, but she hadn't even managed to figure out who he was. The only thing she understood was that it was an important person. "Who is that person you talk about so much?" "Oh..." Replied Yuu. "It is Lieutenant Colonel Guren Ichinose." (Y/n)'s eyes widened. Guren Ichinose? Was it possible that she had understood well, but above all... Could it really be him, her big brother? Was he still alive?

"You may know what the heck..." Guren, seeing the team of Shinoa, had approached them to better understand how things had gone, but when he had approached, he had seen something that had upset him completely and that he had forced him to stop. He had even forgotten that he wanted to punish the team of the unfortunate ones. His gaze was pointed at that of the child and, for a long time, the two were observed, both incredulous. Yet neither of them had the slightest doubt about who the other was. Guren came up slowly. "(Y/n)... Is that you?" He asked with a trembling voice. (Y/n) remained motionless, while warm tears began to descend down her cheeks. "Guren!" She yelled sobbing, starting to run towards him. Guren drooped to her height and clasped her in his arms. The little girl continued to sobbe in the bosom of Guren, while he clenched her strong to himself, also him in tears. "I thought you were dead." Sobbed (Y/n). "I also thought the same thing, but now we have found ourselves and... I promise I won't leave you alone. You're the most important person in my life, I love you, sis." "I love you too, bro. So much." Guren lifted up with the little girl in his arms thinking of having an eternal debt of gratitude with the team of Shinoa, but above all thinking that he would never allow anyone to separate him from his little sister.
