Bangsie is wearing the white dress James bought for her. She also wore her hair down. James couldn't help but smile at the sight before him.
He didn’t understand himself, but he seems to become happy with little things these days.
‘Probably Bangsie’s influence.’ He thought. Bangsie’s smile is really contagious. It was as if everything turns brighter whenever she smiles.
“Bangsie,” James called softly. JC is currently taking a shower and it wouldn’t do for him to hear them talking. He was already worried as it is.
Bangsie looked up at him. She was busy folding her other new clothes when James called her. She's quite fond of them.
“I asked JC if I can explore the city yesterday during practice.” He whispered, “He said I can. We’ll go later after lunch, okay?” He said.
Bangsie’s face lit up! “Yey!” She cheered.
“Shhh!” James shush her. Bangsie covered her mouth with her hands and she giggled noiselessly. James smiled, too.
“Then I will wear this for later!” She whispered, pointing at her pink outfit.
“Okay then. Hmmm… What should I wear?” James wondered aloud.
“You have a similar head dress as this, right? The red one.” Bangsie said pointing at her pink hat.
James nodded, “Should I wear that?” He asked.
Bangsie’s head bobbed. “Then we would be a pair!” She said.
That was when James noticed something on Bangsie’s left leg. He stared at it.
“Bangsie, what’s that?” He asked quietly.
Bangsie looked at her leg. It seems she, too, was surprised.
“I do not know. This is the first time I saw this.” She said, peering at the back of her leg.
“Can I see?” James asked.
Bangsie nodded and turned her back on James.
It was a name. 'Victoria'.
They heard the door open and Bangsie stopped moving. James, on the other hand, pretended to play a game on his PSP, the nearest thing he could reach. James and Bangsie was already used to doing this since sharing a room with JC. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem JC has caught them yet.
“James, I’m done. You can take your shower now.” He said as he towel dry his hair.
“Kay.” James said standing up and preparing to take his shower.
He was about to go inside the bathroom when his phone rang.
He went to the table and answered his phone.
“Hello?”
It was his mom. They talked for a while and Bangsie could see a smile forming on his lips.
He finally hung up, still sporting his smile. He looked at Bangsie but he couldn’t really say anything since JC was with them, but then JC spoke.
“What is it?” He asked James, also noticing his smile.
“It’s my mom.” James answered JC.
“She said she’ll be watching our performance here. She’s bringing Mira, too.” He said, stressing on his last sentence.
JC smiled, “You really miss your sister, huh?”
James just shrugged. He looked at Bangsie once more, smiled at her, and then continued to go to the bathroom.
JC noticed. He went closer to Bangsie and stared at her. “Is this why he likes you so much? He remembers Mira through you…” He said to Bangsie.
“Well, I’m happy you’re here then.” He smiled at the doll. “You keep our James happy.”
And then blinking, he wondered aloud, “What am I doing talking to a doll?”
He shook his head and went back to his bed.
After James finished with his shower, James and JC went to lunch together.
When the door closed, Bangsie squealed. She would be seeing Mira sooner! She's very happy. And she’ll also be going out with James to explore after he ate his lunch. Bangsie couldn't contain her excitement. It would be her first time to go out. She hadn’t really seen anything outside the house, except maybe the scene James showed her the first night they were here.
She really can’t wait! She hopes James would come back soon.
In the meantime, Bangsie changed her clothes.
Bangsie really loved her new clothes. James is right, it was really much comfortable wearing these clothes than her gown.
James still hasn’t return. Bangsie didn’t really know if it was just her, but it seems he’s been gone for long. Is he still eating? Aren’t they leaving soon?
She decided she’ll just wait by the balcony. She liked looking at the city, too. It was amazing how enormous the city was. She has always stayed inside four walls.
She gazed at the city, wind blowing her hair. She hummed her favourite song, one of James's. She doesn’t know the lyrics but she really liked it.
“Bangsie?” She finally heard his voice after a while.
She stumbled to her feet and went inside their room. James was looking inside his bag.
“James.” She called.
James looked up and smiled at her. He took out his blue hat from his bag and wore it.
“There you are,” He said. “Are you ready?”
“Yes!” Bangsie said eagerly.
“Come on then.” He said and Bangsie went to him and let him carry her.
James hid her in his jacket when they passed the other members but when they were out of the hotel, James just carried her.
He was wearing a face mask. James explained to Bangsie that he needed to wear that so no one would recognize him because he said he didn’t want to catch attention of fans.
And it seems it really works. No one seems to recognize James and no one paid attention to them. A little girl did approach them and told James he had a beautiful doll but that was it.
