James is worried. He is annoyed he is worried. He didn’t really know why but when he saw that picture of the old princess, he couldn’t help but feel worried. It was as if something was going to happen. Something he didn’t want.

He had read the pamphlet. It doesn’t really say much. Only that the princess was lost during the civil war and wasn’t found until today. It says there that the royal family did have their descendants residing in Astra Garden but that’s that.

The princess and Bangsie... they look too alike. And that mark on Bangsie's left leg... James couldn’t help but believe that they are connected somehow.

James was sidetracked when JC called them, their performance would be starting soon.

As James promised, he left Bangsie by the camera where she could watch. He glanced at her when he ascended the stage and waved at her when he spotted her. He smiled when he saw her excited face.

Their show went without hitches. There were problems in the light so they had to change the arrangement of the songs but besides that, everything was perfect.

They went backstage after their last encore and the other members were still hyped up. James went to his bag to check if Bangsie was already there. She was, and she beamed at him when she saw him. And James winked at her.

After changing, the members all filed out of the arena and got on the van to go back to the hotel. Tomorrow there would be another performance and the next day would be their last. Mira will be watching the performance tomorrow.

James with JC (and Bangsie inside his bag) entered their hotel room. JC immediately crashed to his bed while James sat down, opened his bag and took Bangsie to their bedside table.

“You brought the doll.” JC commented, looking at James while lying on his bed.

“I thought my sister will be watching today,” James lied smoothly.

“Ah...” JC responded. “You... you’re really fond of that doll.” He observed. “I mean, you always put her beside you and you take good care of her.”

James smiled. “Well, that’s because my sister love this doll, I guess...”

“It seems you love that doll, too.” JC said.

James shrugged, “I guess.” He said, and he smiled at Bangsie. But it did not reach his eyes.

JC noticed.

“Are you okay, James?” He asked him sitting up.

James looked at him, perplexed.

“You seem... off... Like you’re worried about something.”

“Maybe I’m just tired.” James suggested.

“Well, let’s call it a night then.” JC said. “We still have two more shows. You better rest up.” He patted James on the back. James smiled at him.

James went and prepare for the night and then he went back to his bed.
He lied down his bed for a long time. He really couldn’t sleep.

Bangsie was watching him. She was getting worried. James was acting weird.

Finally, James got up and went to the balcony.

Bangsie was about to follow him but then JC, too, got up and went to the balcony.

She smiled at the back of JC. She knew he could soothe James.

“Okay, spill. What is it?”

“JC!” James said, startled. “What do you mean?”

“You have a problem.” It was not a question, it was a statement.

“No...” James said.

JC looked at him skeptically.

“Really, it’s not a problem...” He said.

“What is it then?” JC asked, concern lacing his voice.

James looked at his worried face and sighed.

“Well... what if you have to choose?” James started. JC waited.

“Would you choose to know the truth and possibly be sad or to stay ignorant and happy?” He asked.

There was a short pause, and then JC spoke.

“It’s obvious isn’t it? I’ll choose to know the truth. I might be sad for a while but that wouldn’t last. That’s life after all. On the other hand, it wouldn’t be real happiness, would it? It’s better to face the truth.” He said.

James looked at him then he laughed.

“What is it?” JC asked.

“Well, it's refreshing to see this side of you. Most of the time, you're worried about schedules and the others being lazy or goofing off.” He said.

JC smiled. “Well, did that help?”

James nodded, “I guess I have to face it, huh...”

There was another pause.

“James, you’re really making me curious. What is this about?” JC asked.

“It’s really nothing.” James said. “I don’t even know why I’m worrying about it. I don't even know if it'll really be a sad turn out. I just... I have this gut-feeling...”

“About what? Jeez James, you’ll make me go mad.” JC said, exasperated.

He looked at James. “Are you in love?”

“Huh?” James said laughing.

“You are in love!” JC said.

“What are you talking about?” James asked.

“You’re being all weird and happy and secretive and now you’re worrying about something. You must be in love.” JC said, now convinced.

James laughed more. “What is this, JC? Is this from experience?” James teased.

“No!” JC said defensively. James laughed louder.

JC ruffled James's hair as revenge. That always annoys him.

“Hey!” James protested and they both laughed.

“Hey, JC...” James said after a while.

“Hm?”

“Can I go out tomorrow? I promise I’ll be back for the show.” He said.

JC looked at him and then groaned. “You’re really killing me with this secret of yours.” He complained.

“It’s fine, but be sure to be back at least an hour before we leave the hotel for our show.”

“I will.” James promised.

He looked at JC.

“What?” JC asked.

James smiled and mock-punched JC. “Thanks.”

JC smiled. “Sure, bro.”
