Chapter 15- Worry

[Holly's POV]

I sighed when Ingrid left the house and went back to texting Mike.

Mike: Hey baby:)

Holly: Hey:')

Mike: I want to see you, can you come over?

Holly: yeah I guess so, see you in a second!

"I'm going over to Mike's," I told Erin.

"Oh, okay.. What should I do?" She asked nervously.

"Do you mind going to check on Ingrid?" I said.

"No problem, I'll just-" she was cut off by my phone ringing.

I rolled my eyes and checked the caller ID. It was Lucy. I mouthed at Erin to wait as I answered the phone.

"Hello?" I said

"Holly? Is that you?" Lucy said quietly.

"Yeah it's me, what's up?"

"Ingrid's been hit by a truck.." She whispered, choking back a sob.

My entire world felt like it was collapsing around me. Ingrid was hurt, maybe worse. I couldn't believe it.. Erin saw my expression and shot me a concerned look.

"Where are you?" I asked quickly.

"On our way to the hospital, I'm with Vic," Lucy informed me.

"Okay, me and Erin will be right over," I said firmly and hung up.

I ran to the door pulling Erin by the hand as I rammed my feet into my shoes as fast as possible.

"What's going on?!" She squeaked.

"Ingrid's been run over," I said as the tears finally started falling.

"Oh my God. Holly don't cry, we have to get to her," Erin assured me that she would be okay.

I didn't know if I would see my sister alive again, I needed to see her before I decided she was okay. I wiped the tears from my eyes and me and Erin started running towards the hospital as fast as we could.

We arrived at the same time as the ambulance. The sirens blared causing me to panic. Erin squeezed me hand to comfort me, I smiled weakly at her but nothing could deter me from the panic I was feeling. I could hear the paramedics fussing over by the ambulance, then Vic and Lucy got out if it followed by the stretcher. Lucy ran over to me immediately.

"Holly look at me. Don't look over there I'm warning you, you don't want to feel worse," she said sternly, holding my head in her hands so that I was looking directly at her and nowhere else. A paramedic shouted over us to tell us we could follow them in and wait in the reception room.

I paced around the room for hours, I had no idea what was going on.

"Holly stop, she's going to be okay," Erin said.

"We don't know that," I snapped back.

Erin sighed at me and folded her arms as she sat back in her seat. I felt bad for being mean but I was so worried. Erin's words didn't show worry but her body language did. She was twitching her leg and biting her nails, she was just as doubtful as I was about this. Vic had been trying to calm Lucy down for ages, she was traumatised. They'd witnessed the entire thing, and even though I wanted to, I couldn't ask them what had happened. I didn't want her to have to relive it in her mind. Suddenly, a nurse appeared. She had brunette hair and didn't look much older than us, she spotted us and came over.
