Chapter 6- Secrets

[Alex's POV]

"Alex I really really like you too."

The words echoed around my head. I couldn't believe she actually liked me. I looked at her with her deep brown eyes, beautiful face and messy hair. Messy in a good way. I was struggling to figure out how I'd managed to get such a perfect girl. I didn't realise I'd been looking at her for a few minutes smiling like an idiot until she snapped me out of it.

"Um, earth to Alex..?" She giggled.

That giggle.

"Sorry," I said, "I was um- yeah- I don't know,"

I desperately tried to cover myself but it failed completely. She laughed again and pulled me into a hug, I was surprised by this because she always seemed pretty nervous. I guess she was comfortable around me, and I liked that. She wrapped her arms around my neck so I held her tightly round her waist. She buried her face in the crook of my neck and said something really softly.

"What did you say Ingrid?" I asked.

"I said I'm so lucky to have you," she replied.

My heart was doing somersaults, I was just so happy!

"I'm really glad I found you Ingrid," I told her, "you're perfect to me."

She pulled back to look at me. Her eyes searched mine for what seemed like any hint of lying. I guessed she'd probably been hurt in the past and had some issues with believing in compliments like that. She smiled and seemed satisfied with me, then planted a soft kiss on my cheek.

"Let's go back upstairs with the snacks," she laughed.

Oh my god how does she do this to me.

[Millie's POV]

"They've been gone for fuckin' ages!" I said to Tony.

"I know. I reckon Alex might have just told her how he feels about her," he replied.

I had a feeling they liked each other, aw. I hope they ended up together by the end of the day.

"Doesn't Alex have anxiety?" I asked.

"Yeah he does," Tony told me, "he would've been nervous as it is, I know I am- shit." He tried to act like he didn't say the last part.

"Wait why are you nervous..?" I wondered.

He looked down and went bright red. Oh my god he was so cute! I do like him quite a lot..

"Because I wanted to do the same thing as Alex," he mumbled.

Oh, he's gonna ask Holly out. Great, every time I have feelings for a guy he likes someone else. I nodded and went back to playing with my drumsticks.

"Millie?" Tony whispered.

I looked up at him, God he was so cute.

"Uh, yeah?"

"I kinda like y-" he started.

Then, Ingrid and Alex burst in. I looked at Ingrid with my best 'get the fuck out you ruined the moment' glare.

"Oops, sorry! Alex come here," she squeaked and quickly dragged a confused Alex out the room.

I couldn't help but laugh and Tony joined in with me for a little while.

"So anyway... Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

My stomach had major butterflies and my heart was beating double time, I couldn't believe he actually liked me back!

"Yes of course!" I squealed. So much for hiding my excitement.

I heard a squeal from outside too, so Ingrid had been listening in.

"Can we come back in now?" Alex chuckled, "I think Ingrid has the feels!"

"Aleeeeeex shut up," Ingrid whined at him.

Everything was falling into place for us, I think we could all be happy for once...

[Ingrid's POV]

It was 6am when my alarm started buzzing like crazy. Millie had slept over that night and we had been up all night talking about our new boyfriends.

"I'm so happy," I had sighed.

"Me too," she replied, "Tony is so rad,"

"Alex is fucking sick, I'm so lucky to have him,"

Yeah I'd found a fellow tomboy. As girly as my thoughts are sometimes, when me and Millie talk its like two guys having a lad chat.

Unfortunately, because we'd been up all night we were extremely tired and there was a chorus of groaning throughout the entire household because no one wanted to get up. I dragged myself out of bed and accidentally kicked Millie in the face.

"Shit man," she grumbled.

"Sorry dude," I said sheepishly and went to the bathroom to get changed for school.
