Chapter 10- House Party

[Ingrid's POV]

After a really tiring day at school, me and Holly got home and made a pillow fort so we could flop on the floor and watch Grease. Our parents were back tonight so we made the most of having the house to ourselves which basically meant eating everything in sight.

"You and Alex are adorable," Holly said to me and put some crisps in her mouth.

"Thanks," I smiled, "what's going on between you and Mike by the way?"

"Oh well we've admitted we like each other so I guess we're kinda together now," she explained.

"Aww!" I crooned and picked up my phone to see who was online.

Holly set up the DVD player as I got a text.

Mum: Hey honey, it turns out this meeting is going to be a bit more complicated than we thought. We won't be home until Wednesday next week. We miss you lots, look after yourselves x

"Holly what day is it today?" I asked.

"Wednesday, why?" She replied.

"Mum just text me, they're not home until this time next week!"

"Oh, really? We ought to go shopping for food then,"

"Yeah. Also, I had an idea for the weekend," I grinned at her.

"Oh God," she looked worried, "what's your plan this time?"

"House party!" I exclaimed.

The rest of the week passed pretty quickly seeing as we have band members for teachers. Even maths with Mike Dirnt wasn't so bad! Me and Holly had gone round inviting people to our house party and everyone was really excited. It was Friday night, the day before the party and me and Holly went to get loads of food.

"What are we going to do about drinks?" Holly asked me as we pushed a trolley round the supermarket.

"I got Jack to sort that out," I told her.

"Okay," she smiled, "I heard Jack's the life of the party."

"Yeah," I chuckled, "Alex said something like that.

We headed round the aisles until our trolley was full of food and energy drinks, I was so excited. We paid and took our bags home. Luckily we didn't live so far away otherwise my hands would've been killing me from the weight of the bags. We got home and checked everything through.

"Okay, who's actually coming?" I asked.

"Here's the list," Holly said and gave me a sheet of paper.

Millie, Lucy, Jamie

Alex, Jack, Rian, Zack

Gerard, Frank, Mikey, Ray

Vic, Mike, Tony, Jaime

Jenna, Hayley

"There aren't very many," I said.

"Yeah but we're all friends, it'll be fun," Holly replied.

"I guess so," I smiled.

We unpacked the shopping bags and then I started making some pasta for dinner.
