powers

      I'm starting with powers because that's literally the only thing I can think of right now.

      Not all BBB OCs needs powers, heck. My OC, Tristan doesn't even has powers! Yet, I found a solution for him to help Boboiboy's team by hacking on defenses and making gadgets for them. The only problem is he doesn't know crap about alien technology so he can't hack on those defenses.

      You can base your OC's powers on an existing fictional character but don't. Just. Don't rip off the character completely! I based Leizel's powers on Starfire and I know Starfire's powers can be too overpowered so I toned it down a bit.

      But most of the times I see OC's as BBB rip offs (having an elemental power or can do a triple [or more] split) and they can annoy the heck out of readers.

      I have few suggestions for powers that are not overrated at all-

• Technology Manipulation (which was supposed to be Tristan's power but I scrapped that idea)

• Illusions (seriously, I would love to see a BBB OC with a power like this! Illusions are really cool!)

• Necromancy

• Telepathy

      Another tip is to look at powers in the superpower wiki!

      Try to balance it tho, don't make their powers too overpowered. And don't give me that crap when they flawlessly defeats Adu du or villains they faint like what????2????2?2??2? You didn't even write where your OC was getting tired and was looking like they would faint any minute. And I know what you will say "BUT DOESN'T YOUR OC, LEIZEL, FAINTS SOMETIMES WHEN FIGHTING AN ENEMY?????"

      Well duh- she has energy manipulation, she literally risks her own energy just to fight. And since she don't practice her powers that much due to a busy schedule she tries not to overdue it. Even if she doesn't faint she gets extremely tired.

      Heck, try to list out the positive and the negative side of your OC's powers, too!

      And how come majority of the BBB OC's gets their powers by helping out Ochobot? I know it's the most simple solution but try to think more than that! But let's be honest here, Ochobot wouldn't carelessly give away powers to strangers he just met. And Boboiboy won't let you in his team if he doesn't trusts you or knows you.

      Another simple solution: try to look at the other power spheres or make one your own so that your OC can achieve powers from the said power sphere.

      Or maybe your OC startled Ochobot? Maybe even forced him to give your OC powers because your OC didn't believed on aliens or power spheres?

      Maybe your OC already has powers on their own? (Tho, for this one, it's impossible for a human being to be born with powers. This can only work on aliens or half human half aliens, depending on the species) You can make an alien specie if you want!

      But remember- make sure to balance the powers! Don't make them too overpowered, don't make them too useless too.
