Forgetting Them All, Remembering the Few (OC fanfic)

Chapter 1

Axl's Pov

I walk inside my favorite place in the world to be greeted by my best friends.

"Axl! You're home!" Said my favorite little blonde girl, Annie. She's always been the happiest thing I could think of, but serious when she needs to be. Just adorable. Then another figure pops into the room whom I recognize as Reiner. He walks closer to us with a huge grin across his face.

"Hows it goin Axl? Long time no see." He said changing his smile to a smirk.

"Its only been like a month or so. Thats totally normal. And where's Berti? He usually would be out by now." I ask.

"Where he always is. Sleeping." He replies. I look towards the stairs that leads to our bedrooms and run up them leaving all of my things at the door. I get to the top, go towards Bertholdt's room, and find him sleeping in his weird positions again. He sleeps the weirdest ways like all of the time, so weird that we decided to start using them to tell what the weather will be like that day. And it actually works. Weirdest. Thing. Ever.

Anyway, I walk inside and slam shut the door, startling him and making him fall off the bed. I laugh uncontrollably while he gets up, rubbing the side of his head that he hit. He walks towards me and ruffles my hair, causing me to make a whining noise like a child.

"You are the oldest out of all of us, yet the most childlike. How does that work out again?" He asks me heading towards the stairs. I follow him and answer his question.

"Well. Im a child at heart. Also I make up for it by stealing our food and clothes. Speaking of which, help me carry these bags. They have all of our new goodies in them." I said gesturing towards the bags by the door. And yes. I steal our food and clothes. I'm a wanted criminal and secret titanshifter. My friends are titan shifters too, but not criminals. Thats my job. We live outside the walls in a village with normal people and every so often I'll go inside the walls to steal what we need whether that be food, clothes, or anything we can think of. I just got back from one of my usual robberies just getting some food and cleaning supplies, but I also snagged something better. Jewelery. I stole it from a local pon shop in Shinganshina village. Thats my usual stop because it the closest to our small village in the outer walls.

I walk towards the lounging area and open the bags to reveal all of the things I snatched with a proud look on my face.

"Wow. Jewerly huh?" Reiner turned to me with an impressed look on his face. I looks towards him and then scatter my eyes all over the room, finally choosing to stare at the floor. Now was the the time to tell them about my big plan. My next crime, to steal from and kill the king.

I stare at the floor aimlessly trying to get the words out but they just wont work.

"I... I.... um." I studder untrollably. I dont know why I cant say these words. Come on Axl! Just say, Im gonna be gone for a while to steal from and kill the king okay?!

"What is it Axl? Is something wrong?" Reiner asked me while the other two were still admiring the jewels.

"Well um..... I'm gonna be gone for quite some time soon. I have everything planned and I'm gonna commit the worst crime I've ever done." I try to finish my sentence, my voice getting shaky. "Im going to steal from the king in Wall Sina and then kill him." Reiner's jaw dropped to the floor and looked like he was about to faint. Annie and Bertholdt stared at me, putting the stolen items back into the bags. Bertholdt finally speaks up.

"Well actually Axl, we had something to tell you too. We're joining the military to complete our mission. Ya know. Destroying humanity?" He chuckled and its like everyone just had a tremendous weight lifted off of them. I take a sigh of relief and stand up, stretching.

"Well then. I guess that situation settled itself, didnt it?" We all had a small laugh and went to our rooms for bed. I did come home in the middle of the night after all. Turns out Reiner and Annie have been waiting for me, but Bertholdt went to sleep. Classic Berti.

I take a shower using the new shampoo and bodywash I just got and walked out feeling fresh and clean. Almost like it washed away all my sins, but we all know that is the biggest lie ever told. Ha! Me not having any sins. As if. I then put on some nice, comfy pajamas and went to sleep. Knowing now that everything will go according to plan.
