Axl's Pov
-

The next day was pretty eventful. In the upcoming 48 hours all four us will be out of the house and going on with our missions and goals. We decided to go into the walls as refugees to get a headstart on being "innocent" for as long as possible. I pack my bags and the entire time all I think is, What if I dont ever see them again? What if this is the last time I get to hang out with the only people I care about in my life?

These thoughts run laps in my head as I walk down the stairs to wait for the others.

-time skip-

We walk towards Wall Maria- the outermost wall- with me leading the way of course. I mean it just makes the most sense, I go this way the most often. You may be thinking, Wait? Why are you walking? Shouldnt you be on horses? Well let me answer that for you curious reader. We're not on horses one, because if we walked into the walls on horses people would be suspicious and two, we just wanted to spend time with each other. I mean this is the last time we see each other for years, maybe even forever. We wanna cherish this moment.

We get closer and a single tear rolls down my face. Those thoughts are still in my mind and I really dont like it. I decided not to let them know until Reiner stopped talking to ask me a question.

"Hey Axl. Are you good? You've been silent for the last five minutes." I stop walking and the others follow suite. I turn around to show them my tears. They immediately enclose me into a group hug, like they know what is wrong and why I'm crying. I finally blurt out.

"I dont wanna loose you guys. Ever since you found me on those streets I cant help but thank you so much for being my family. Now I wont see you for a while. Maybe even forever. So before we walk into those walls I want to let you know that you guys mean everything to me and if anything happens to you I would do anything and everything to help." At this point we were all bawling our eyes out. Annie spoke up to say,

"No Axl. We have to thank you. Ever since we took you in you've been a huge help to us. You gave us our essentials and even more. You brighten up our day when we feel down. You love us genuinely for who we are. We love you Axl." After wiping away tears Bertholdt said,

"And hey. Who ever said we wont ever see you again? We sure as hell are gonna bring you back to us. No matter the cost." So with that we all gave each other a final hug and goodbye and parted our ways. They went toward the Shinganshina village and I went to Trost. Finally getting through the crowd I was given a small loaf of bread and sent to live in a home with another family.

I walked up to the front doorstep- escorted by a military police soldier- of the Kirschtien household. I was told they have been notified about me and have everything prepared. The MP knocked on the door and a sweet lady whom I assumed to be a mother opened the door. She had a calming feel to her. Its just the vibe she gave off I guess.

"Oh! This must be the young lady we've been expecting! Well come on in, we've got anything and everything you might need." The MP gave me a slight nudge and left to go back and slack off I guess. I never really liked the Military Police if you couldnt have guessed. I walked inside and the woman guided me to a table.

"Oh you must be starving by now! Those crude policemen only gave you a tiny loaf for the whole day. Or at least thats what I heard." She pulled out a chair for me to sit and I did so.

"Thank you so much Mrs. Kirstien for taking me in like this. You really didnt have to. I would have been fine on the streets or under the Military Police's supervision." She looked at me with a suprised face.

"Of course not dear! Its no problem! Its only myself and my son so I thought it would be a nice change to have some company. Also I cant have a pretty young girl like you on the streets! It would just kill me to see you out there in the cold, and no one with you." I blushed and thanked her, but something was still on my mind. I waited for her to sit down until I asked.

"Um...Mrs. Kirstien. You said it was just you and your son here. If you dont mind me asking what happened to your husband?" She looked down at her plate of food with a depressed kind of look. Thats when I new I royally messed up.
