I did a double take at the mirror but all I found was my shocked expression flashing back at me. It must be part of my imagination either that, or I've gone loony. At any other time I would be rolling my eyes at my own comments but something deep down was telling me that the lines of sanity and insanity were blurring together and I'm not going to know what to expect.

I couldn't figure out what was up with my mind lately. I was suddenly feeling guilty for Trent and Valorie's vanishings and now I was regretting the way I had treated Savannah. Maybe part of me still had feeling for her deep down and I hadn't realized they were there until now. I just wanted to forget about everything but there was this gnawing feeling that just wouldn't leave me alone.
I decided to leave my house for once so I grabbed my black leather jacket from the coat rack and threw it on as I left the house. I locked the door behind me and started down the walk, not really heading to any destination in particular. The fresh air was nice compared to the stench of death that now haunted the house.
I continued to stroll through the small town, ignoring the glares I was getting from the people I passed by. Before I knew it I was standing outside of Savannah's house and I panicked but just a second too late. Savannah had been exiting her house and had already notice me.
"What are you doing here?" She hissed and started to head toward me quickly.
"I was just out walking and was passing by. Don't go getting all worked up or anything." She was finally standing in front of me and bunched up my jacket in her closed fists, pulling me toward her.
"I should beat the living daylights out of you for earlier! How dare you trea-" Before she could even finish her sentence I smashed my lips against hers. What are you doing Sorrow! She is your enemy! The sirens in my mind kept buzzing but for some rason, I couldn't get over the fact that this kiss just felt so right.
I was anticipating for Savannah to smack me, punch me, or something! Instead she pulled me closer and deepened the kiss. We stayed like that for a few minutes, before someone cleared their throat from behind Savannah and she quickly threw me away from her. She turned toward her father who was standing on the top step awkwardly, with his eyebrow cocked at us.
"I'm going to forget I just saw that. What I originally came to tell you was that your mother and I have plans tonight so go to a friend's house or something. Your brother wants the house for him and his bandmates to practice." Savannah rolled her eyes and groaned as her father walked back inside the house and closed the door.
"I was going to head to Payne's house anyway. She's throwing a party tonight and like everyone is going to be there. Do you want to come with me?" She asked as she began walking from her yard.
"Sure, but do you think Payne will be alright with it?" Savannah shrugged so I just decided to follow her.
"So... yesterday, you had me thinking you hated me....and then today you kissed me. Why did you kiss me back there?" I shrugged my shoulders again but not because I didn't know what to say but because I wasn't sure why I did it myself.
"I don't really know... I thought I hated you too but since you left yesterday I haven't really stopped thinking about what you said." I noticed Savannah blush.
"Oh by the way, Adrian is going to be at Payne's. He's going to be super happy to see you again. He hasn't stopped talking about you since you vanished from school." I chuckled and put my hands in my pockets as we continued walking.
"I'm actually thinking about not going back at all. I hate it there and let's face it, I'm not learning anything anyway. It's a waste of my time and they will be overjoyed to see me go." She stopped and grabbed my arm so I would face her.
"That's not true and you know it." I reached up and took her hand off my shoulder, starting to get a little pissed off.
"You know better than anyone, besides myself, that everyone hates me there! The teachers are just as bad as the students and do I have to mention the time the principal tried to have me arrested because someone told him I had drugs on me, which wasn't true." She looked away from me and shook her head.
"Okay, I get your point. Still there will be a few people who will miss you. You are Adrian's best friend and I'm going to miss you too." I bit my lip, not really knowing how to respond back.
Savannah began walking again, and after a few more minutes we were standing on Payne's front porch. I knocked on the door and we both stood in an awkward silence while we waited.
"Hey Vannah! What took you so... Um... Why is he here?" As soon as Payne noticed me she looked scared but it instantly shifted to anger. She grabbed Savannah's arm and began dragging her off just as Adrian came to the door with that big goofy grin on his face.
"SORROW!!! Where have you been? Hello?" I would have answered but I was listening in to Payne and Savannah's conversation, well argument, in the other room.
"What were you thinking! Why would you bring him to my house?"
"You know how I feel about him Payne, plus he isn't that bad of a guy." She was defending me, how cute. Wait, did I really just think that?
"So? You know what they're all saying about him! He's a murderer and you just led him to my doorstep!"
