Chapter 5: I Love You

Natsu pov

I felt a pair of lips on mine. And tears fall onto my cheeks. I open my eyes and found myself in the guilds infirmary. The door opens to reveal Lucy. Lucy gasps when she sees me.

"N-Natsu?" I stood up from the bed. "Hey Luce. Where's (Y/n)?" I ask her walking to the door. "She went home." Lucy moves out of my way. Everyone in the guild goes silent. "Natsu?" Everyone said together. "The one and only!" Everyone burst into tears.

"You big idiot! Don't make us worry like that again!" Erza hugs me. "How long was I out?" I ask as she pull away. "Two months." My eyes widen. Two months!? I ran out of the guild towards (Y/n)'s apartment.

I made it to her apartment. I can hear her sniffles from outside the door. I turn the knob slowly. The door opens and (Y/n) is sitting on the floor crying. She looks up at me. Her beautiful (e/c) eyes widen. "N-Natsu?!" She got up and we met half way. I pull her into a hug. She hugs me tight. "I-I thought y-you were r-really g-gone. I-I'm sorry I-I gave u-up on y-you." (Y/n) cries into my chest. I pull away taking her cheeks in my hands.

I wipe away her tears. "I will never leave you. I promise to protect you, remember?" She nods. "Plus..." I lean closer to her sweet face. My lips press against hers. (Y/n) wraps her arms around my neck and kisses back. I wrap my arms around her waist pulling her closer to me.

We pull away for stupid air. "I love you." I rest my forehead against hers. "I love you too, Natsu." I pull her in another hug. "I have one question, (Y/n)." (Y/n) pulls away looking up at me. "What is it?" She asks. "Can you be mine?" I ask feeling my face turn red. "Of course!" (Y/n) smiles and I kiss her.

~Time skip next day~

(Y/n) and I walk to the guild holding hands. Happy and Hope aww's at us. "They're really cute together." Hope whispers to Happy. "Aye!" Happy whispers back. "We can hear you." (Y/n) and I turn our heads to our exceeds.

They giggle and flow over to us. Hope lands on (Y/n)'a head and Happy mine. We walk up to the guild doors. I turn my head and she nods. We kick open the door together. "Hey!!" We said at the same time.

We raise our hands up in the air and the whole guild cheers.

(Y/n) pov

"Can't believe Flame-Brain got a girlfriend before me." Gray whine quietly. I giggle at Gray's expression. I look around and saw Lucy at the bar all alone. I got up and walked over to her.

"Hey Lucy." I wave to her. She doesn't look at me. "Is everything okay?" I ask taking a sit next to her. "I was gonna to confess to him." Lucy whispers. "Confess to who?" She looks up with tears in her eyes. "Natsu." She quickly looked away.

I sigh. I look over to Natsu and Gray fighting. "There is someone special for you out there." I tried to cheer Lucy up. "You really think so?" She asks facing me. I nod. "What about Loke? I know he is your spirit, but he really cares for you." I gave her a gentle smile. "Maybe your right. I do have feelings for Loke. Thanks (Y/n)!" Lucy hugs me.

"No problem!" We pull away and smile to each other. "Hey (Y/n)! Want to go on a mission?" Natsu asks as he runs up to Lucy and I. "Sure. I haven't been on a mission for two months." Natsu chuckles. Then he run over to the request board.
