Chapter Six

Livius's P.O.V.:

I dragged Amari back into the palace by the back entrance, making my way to her room..

That asshole Kei didn't follow me though. More like he couldn't since Hiru held him back, allowing me to walk away from the situation...

So that's why Amari has been so quiet all this while... She's mute.

Oh why for fuck's sake did God bestow me with a soulmate that's mute?!?

At least Nike can sing and call down the rain and even make rainbows appear at times.

What can this girl do???

I opened the door and dragged Amari into her chamber, closing and locking the door before pushing her down to sit on the bed, bending down to her eye level.

Amari trembled in fear as she looked at me with those violet eyes...

I have to admit... God spent a lot more time on this girl even though she's mute..

Wait what the hell am I thinking?!? I made a promise to Nike that I'll be faithful and I plan on keeping my word!

As I continued staring into Amari's eyes, I saw a tear slid down her right cheek..

Subconsciously, I used a thumb to wipe the tear away..

Amari blinked a few times at me before reaching out to hold my wrist, clasping her delicate fingers over it gently...

God... how selfish I must be...

Here I am keeping secrets but at least I know what's going on.. And here is Amari, who is mute and can't express herself at all and.. she has no idea what's going on after hearing mine and Kei's conversation...

"I'm sorry." I mumbled, surprised at myself that I even apologised as I don't give out apologies easily; not even to Nike..

Amari smiled at me as she took off her ribbon, placing it on the nightstand...

Wait. I overheard that Kei gave her that. Why did she take it off.. Is she trying to tell me something?

Amari then placed both hands over her heart before staring deeply into my eyes and raising a finger to point at me...

Oh... I get it.

The action of her taking off the ribbon means she wants to tell me that she doesn't belong to Kei.. And the second action...

That she belongs to me...

Is this the power of soulmate? To not need to say a word but to be able to communicate with each other this easily?

I don't know what took over me but I felt this strong urge to make Amari mine...

I leaned forward and kissed her feverishly, pinning her body onto the bed..

Her slim figure fits perfectly against mine... And even though Nike is 5 years older than me and Amari is 3 years younger than me, heck her body is way curvier than Nike's...

I couldn't give two fucks about my word to Nike anymore as I ripped away Amari's panties since she was just wearing a simple dress. I positioned my hardened member before thrusting in quickly, kissing her to swallow her pain even though I know she won't make a sound.

I decided to show Amari that she belongs to me by proving it to her all night long...

"It was a mistake." Livius's voice rang out clearly throughout Amari's chamber..

Amari's violet eyes stared at him as they started brimming with tears..

"Don't tell anyone about yesterday night, especially Nike." Livius said as he finished putting on his clothes and walked to the door, opening it.

"Oh wait. I forgot. You can't talk." Livius chuckled, throwing Amari an evil smirk before closing the door.

He was making his way back to his chamber when he bumped into his wife.

"Livius! We've been looking everywhere for you!"

"We?"

"Neil, me, all the royal guards! Where did you go last night? I realised Amari was missing too!"

Livius was frantically searching for an answer in his brain when Hiru's voice sounded from behind Nike.

"Your highness I thought I told you already that Amari was resting in her chamber yesterday night?"

A look of irritation crossed her face at Hiru's interruption and Livius was surprised by it but chose to remain silent..

"I know Hiru! I was just telling King Livius that's all!"

"Pardon me your majesty if I am being too annoying by reminding you that." Hiru said apologetically and Nike, being a forgiving person, softened her tone.

"It-it's okay Hiru. I was just worried that King Livius and Amari went missing yesterday night. I thought something bad happened to them.."

Livius felt guilty as hell..

He wondered how long he can keep his secret before he falls apart...
