"What are we gonna do?" Evie asked us as she paced around in the warehouse, "We can't give Uma the wand and let her destroy Auradon."
"We have to get Ben back." I said without hesitation, I had to make sure he was safe, "We have to give Uma the wand."
Carlos scoffed, "Are we talking about the same Uma? The, kill-everyone-in-my-way, Uma?"
I shrugged, "Then we'll give her what she thinks is the real wand."
"Your 3D printer!" Mal exclaimed, pointing to Carlos.
I nodded at her, "A copy, that will work."
Jay shook his head, "Uma's gonna realize that the wands not real."
Mal bit her lip before speaking up, "Then we'll just get out of there really fast. We need some kind of diversion."
We all thought for a minute before Jay shouted out, "Smoke bombs!" I nodded, my mind flashing back to the time we had dropped smoke bombs down onto the Queen of Hearts.
Evie nodded, "We can get the materials from Lady Tremaine's!" Evie then looked over at Mal.
"By the way, I love your hair!"
Mal nodded, looking down at a strand, "I know it's a lot lighter." She then looked over at me, "And H cut a bunch off and got a different shade."
Evie looked at us both, "Wow, Lady Tremaine really stepped up."
I smirked at her, "Actually Dizzy did this."
A shocked look appeared on Evie's face, "No way! Little Dizzy?"
Mal nodded, "Yep."
I looked down at my short hair, "I am so proud of her!"
Carlos cleared his throat, causing him to look over at where he and Jay stood.
Right, back to business.
I pointed to the two boys, "You guys, go back to Auradon and get the wand ready, We'll go get the smoke bombs. Meet us at the dock entrance no later then noon, Ben's life is riding on this."
Mal nodded, "Failure is not an option."
"Because we're rotten..." I started, the others joining in.
"To the core!"
I smirked at them, leading the way out of the warehouse.
Mal and I pushed our way through the door to Curl Up and Dye for the second time today, Evie not far behind.
The fashion designer smiled as she looked around the store, her smile growing even wider as her eyes landed on Dizzy, who was facing away from us and working on something.
"Shh." Evie whispered to us, walking towards the younger girl.
"Evie?" Dizzy asked in disbelief as Evie knelt down beside her, "Evie you came back!" The younger girl pulled our friend into a hug.
"Hi!" Evie told Dizzy excitedly.
Mal rolled her eyes from where she stood next to me, "Hey, so good to see you too." She told Dizzy, though she was ignored by the artistic girl. I chuckled, playfully hitting Mal with my shoulder.
"Is it all just like we imagined? Do they really have walk-in closets? Have you been to a real swimming pool? What does ice cream taste like?" Dizzy asked, jumping up and down, she always was one for enthusiasm.
Evie placed her hands on the girls' shoulders, "It's cold, and it's sweet, and if you eat it too fast you get a headache." I nodded at the blue-haired girl's explanation, that's what I first thought when Ben took me our for ice cream on our fourth date.
Dizzy smiled, looking amazed by the thought, before snapping back to reality, "I saved your sketchbook for you!"
"You did?" Evie asked, Dizzy responded by running over towards the counter, jumping up to grab a book before running back to us.
Evie sent us a smile before looking back at the girl, "Dizzy! Oh, my gosh." She sat down in the chair, running her hands over the blue book, "Wow."
I leaned over her shoulder to get a look of what was inside as Evie flipped through the pages.
She stopped on one with a drawing of a dress that looked really familiar, "I made this dress out of an old curtain and safety pins."
Dizzy chuckled, looking over at me, "It reminds me of the dress you made for Hadey when she visited Aladdin and Jasmine."
Mal leaned closer to the book before looking at me, "That's the one you ate the spicy chicken in!"
We all laughed and I remembered that moment, it sure was something.
Dizzy nodded, "I saw that!" She pointed over to the small tv in the corner of the room.
Mal bumped my shoulder, motioning over towards a table that held most of the supplies we needed for the smoke bombs.
I followed Mal towards the tables as Evie and Dizzy continued talking about the fashion book and catching up with each-other.
"Hey," Mal said to me as she pulled on some plastic gloves, "You okay?"
I sighed as I gathered all the materials, placing them down next to the tub, "I'm just worried. About Ben. I mean, if something happens the last thing I did with him was fight."
Mal carefully placed a hand on my arm, pulling me close to her as she ran her fingers through my hair, "Hey, it's gonna be okay. We'll get him back."
I nodded at her, "Yeah. Now, pass me the dye."
About an hour later, I was funneling
the last few bits of hair spray into a glove."That should be good." Evie told me, and I handed the glove to her as I dropped the funnel into the tub.
"Five should be enough, right?" Mal asked as she carefully placed them
in her bag, and Evie nodded, turning over towards a table filled with little jewels and wires. She then held up a gold and red headband that she had created, "M, H, how do you think this would look with my shredded-tee and my heart purse?"
"It would be amazing." Mal commented, I nodded.
"Wicked."
"Take it!" Dizzy stood up from
where she was sitting, "Take a bunch!"Evie smiled, putting the headband into her bag, "Oh, Dizzy!"
The little girl smiled, "It would make me so happy to know that you were wearing something if mine in Auradon. Almost like me being there myself."
Evie pulled the smaller girl into a hug, causing me to smile, "I really wish I could take you with me."
Dizzy smiled at her, "Well, at least one of us gets to live our dream, right?"
Evie chuckled, though she had a sad look on her face, "Yeah."
I glanced up at the cat clock on the wall, "We gotta go,"
Dizzy gave us one last smile, and waned before walking back over to her chair, flipping through Evie's sketch-book.
"She's gonna be okay." Mal told our blue-haired best friend as we all pulled off our gloves.
Evie nodded, "Yeah. But she could be so much more."
I smiled sympathetically as Mal held out her hand to her girlfriend, who gladly took it. I then wrapped my arms around Mal's shoulders, and with that we walked out into the streets.
