Chapter 5

Jane and Carlos walked into Mal's dorm room.

"Hey, we wanted to know if you guys wanted to go get some ice cream," Carlos asked seeing Ben and Mal on her bed studying.

"Sure. I need a break," Ben said closing his book. Mal shrugged. 

"Okay. Who else is coming?" Mal asked.

"Just us. I asked Jay and Lonnie, but they said they couldn't," Jane said.

"What about Evie and Doug?" Mal asked.

"No, Doug had to finish some project and Evie has to make some dresses," Carlos said. Mal and Ben exchanged glances. "Do you get the feeling they know something we don't?" Carlos whispered to Jane.

"All the time," Jane whispered back and the two laughed. "We'll meet you there."

"Sounds good," Mal said watching Carlos and Jane walk out of the room hand in hand.

"All I know is that Carlos better not get Jane pregnant," Ben said. Mal laughed.

"Please, Carlos? He may be a VK, but he knows better," Mal said.

"You said the exact same thing about Evie."

"Evie is.... A special case."

"Aren't you all," Ben said touching Mal's cheek. Mal smiled. 

"Don't get any ideas. You're the poster child for goodness," Mal said.

"And you are my queen," Ben said kissing Mal's hand.

"Come on BennyBoo, we've got to get to the ice cream place before Carlos and Jane think something's wrong."

"BennyBoo? I thought we talked about that," Ben said.

"Did we?" Ben tickled Mal's sides. Mal let out a giggle. 

"Did I just hear a giggle?"

"N-No," Mal said.

"I think I did," Ben said tickling the same spot again.

"Ben!" Mal yelled laughing. 

"Okay, okay, let's go," Ben said standing up. 

"Yes, let's," Mal said taking his hand. The two started off, only to be stopped by Audrey and Chad, who looked like they'd seen a ghost.

"Guys?" Ben asked.

"Um... How do I say this...? The barrier broke!" Audrey said panicking.

"What?" Mal asked her eyes widening.

How did the barrier break? How did Audrey and Chad know? What's going to happen when Evie finds out she's pregnant? What will Doug think? Will the villains on the isle finally be released, or is this just some prank? Will I ever stop asking questions? I don't think so.... Sorry for the short chapter, hope you guys liked it!
