"I am completely serious," Ben said. The two were in Mal's dorm room discussing what to do with Uma. Ben wanted to let Uma stay in Auradon, while Mal wanted to send her back to the Isle.
"Uma's evil! You can't let her stay here."
"Weren't you evil when you first came to Auradon Prep? We gave you a chance."
"But this is different," Mal said standing up from where she was sitting.
"Is it?" Ben asked. Mal sighed as he embraced her in his arms. "I promise everything will turn out fine."
Mal huffed and nodded. "Okay. I trust you. I do not however trust her."
"I don't expect you to. I have to go to a counsel meeting. My dad will want to know what's going on. Remember we have a date at the Enchanted lake tonight," Ben said before he kissed her forehead.
"I remember. Don't forget the strawberries," Mal said and Ben chuckled.
"I love you Mal. Have I ever told you that?"
"Multiple times... But it wouldn't hurt hearing it again."
"I love you, and I can't wait to get married," he said before kissing her. "See you later," Ben said leaving. Mal waved to him and then sighed and laid down on her bed.

She stood up a couple minutes later and got out a book of pictures. Evie made it for Mal and Ben a couple days after the Cotillion. She laughed when she looked at the first picture.

It was the first time Ben tried to get her to take a selfie. It didn't end up the way he thought it would. He should've known they didn't have selfies on the Isle. Smiling she started singing as she looked through the pictures.
"He is sensible, and so incredible. And all my single friends are jealous," She sang. "He says everything I need to hear and it's like I couldn't ask for anything better."
She looked at the picture of their first date.
"He opens up my door, and I get into his car and he says you look beautiful tonight.... And I feel perfectly fine," She sang.
"But I miss screaming, and fighting and kissing in the rain. And it's two a.m. and I'm cursing your name. You're so in love that you act insane, and that's the way I loved you," Mal sang as she thought of their fights.
"Breaking down and coming undone, it's a, roller coaster kinda rush. And I, never knew I could feel that much, and that's the way I loved you," She sang and picked up the flowers he gave her last week. She danced around the room and stopped at the window, watching Uma, Ben, and Adam talking out in the court yard. Turning away from the window, Mal sat back down and out a pen and paper. She decided to write everything she like about him.
"He respects my space, and never makes me wait. And he calls exactly when he says he will," She sang writing down the words.
"I'm close to his mother, talk business with his father. He's charming, and endearing, and I'm comfortable," she sang and then closed the book.
"But I miss screaming, and fighting, and kissing in the rain. And it's two a.m. and I'm cursing your name. You're so in love that you act insane, and that's the way I loved you..."

She gave Mal a weird look and walked to her bed. Mal shrugged and walked to the bathroom, closing the door. She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled.
"He can't see the smile I'm faking, and my heart's not breaking, cause I'm not feeling anything at all. And you were wild and crazy, just so frustrating, intoxicating, complicated, got away by some mistake and now...." She opened the door again and slowly walked out.
"I miss screaming and fighting, and kissing in the rain. It's two a.m. and I'm cursing your name. I'm so in love, and I'm acting insane. And that's the way I loved you," she sang quietly until Evie left.
"Breaking down and coming undone, it's a roller coaster kinda rush. And I, never knew I could feel that much, and that's the way I loved you. Whoa, oh, and that's the way I loved you," She sat back down on the bed and opened the book of pictures again.
"Never knew I could feel that much, and that's the way I loved you," Mal finished singing just as Ben came back in.
"Forgot my paperwork," he said grabbing the paper's on her desk. She smiled as he kissed her and then ran back out of the room.
