Ever Ever After *DISCONTINUED*

Chapter 9

Mal and Evie were looking through books in the library and Lonnie and Jane were on the computers.

"What are we doing here again?" Jay asked yawning.

Mal groaned. "We're here to see if we can find anything about a spell turning someone evil, and Lonnie and Jane are looking for spells that could break the barrier," she said. Evie nodded.

"So read these," Evie said and plopped about eight books in front of Jay and Carlos.

"Yeah... I'm not gonna do that," Jay said shoving the books towards Carlos. Carlos sighed and opened one of the books while Jay rested his feet on the table. 

"Feet off," Mal said and gave him more books. He groaned and also opened a book.

"Page one.... Let's do this," he said to himself and Evie smiled. 

"Hey Eves, I think I may have found some more books," Doug said and walked around the corner juggling at least 20 books.

"Here, let me help you," Evie said.

"No!" Mal yelled and everyone stopped and looked at her. "I mean, ahem, I'll help Doug. Evie, why don't you go see how Jane and Lonnie are doing," Mal said and took some books from Doug. Evie raised an eyebrow at her. Mal rolled her eyes and then glanced and nodded towards Evie's stomach. 

"Ohhh, yeah, I'll go see how they're doing," Evie said finally catching on. She walked away.

"What was that all about?" Jay asked.

"Don't ask me. I have no idea," Carlos said. After gathering a couple more books... Ahem.... thirty more.... They decided to try and read them all. Of course... that didn't happen....

8 hours later....

Jay and Carlos were sleeping, along with Lonnie and Jane. Doug was half awake, half asleep, looking over another page of a book. Mal was still searching, and Evie went to get her some coffee.

"No, no, no, no! Where could he be?!" Mal yelled waking everyone up.

"Mal... I know you really want to find Ben and all, but you being sleep deprived is not going to help us find him any faster," Lonnie said as Evie returned with 4 cups of coffee.

"As much as I hate to admit it, I agree with Lonnie," Jay said grabbing a coffee from Evie earning a smack to the head from Mal.

"I can't stop. What if he's in trouble? What if he's-"

"Right here," the friends turned around to find Ben and Uma standing at the library entrance.

"Ben, you're here!" Mal said running over to him and giving him a hug.

"Good to see you too," Uma said rolling her eyes.

"Uma?! What are you doing here?" Jay asked.

"Ben, Mal, get away from her," Carlos said jumping up from where he was sitting.

"Relax guys, Uma helped me escape," Ben said.

"Escape from who?" Evie asked.

"Audrey and Chad...."
